Okay. How can one not go a little bridezillia if you have very opinionated parents? I am making my own dress and no matter what I seem to do it's only a "costume" to my mom, as in not good enough...

I have a few relatives that are allergic to heavy scents and pollen, which includes the groom. Any ideas that would make fake flowers look good or should I try to do a complete alternative?
