Our story is a very humble one.  My fiancee and I grew up on the westside of Chicago in an area known as K-Town.  We first met each other when we were babies...of course we have no recollection of those times.  The only times we can recall begin at age 5.  Our families live on the same block and the funny thing about it is that our grandparents live right next door to each other.  We would always be near the other.  If his grandparents were having a barbeque or some sort of get together I would always get invited over.  There were even times that I would sneak over to his grandparents house just to spend time with him.  At the time, I just felt he was my best friend.  All of our favorite childhood games we would split the pieces between ourselves...which in turn would make it hard for others to play the games especially if I had the pieces at my house and not my grandmother's house.  As we got older, I begin to develop a crush on him and would live for the days that I would see him.  I wanted him to know that I liked him, but at the same time I didn't want him to know.  When, I saw him I would throw myself into the hug I would give him and linger as well.  But, we were friends and I never wanted to change that especially if it went bad.  Time goes on and he gets married and I get married to other people.  I was definitely hurt and upset when I found out a year before I got married that he got married.  5 years into his marriage to an angry woman who didn't watch the kids along with a few other issues...and 4 years into my marriage with a man who beat me in front of our child.  He happened to be separated and my husband  and I just weren't getting along and going through our own issues.  To shorten our lengthy tale, we met at a friends party confessed our love to each other and have been together since.  He proposed to me 8 years ago when I had the flu....and my real proposal was given to me in July of 2011 at his cousin's wedding reception.  We love each other deeply and compliment each other well.  Our love was meant for each other and I can't wait until our day arrives.
