Wedding details
Mike and I met online in October 2008. He's from Ireland and I'm from Sweden. None of us really believed in online dating, but there was something there we couldn't ignore. I thought he was a bit young, being only 20 and i was 24. He promised me though that he was as mature as a 25 year old. I quickly found out that wasn't true! :) But the one thing that made me fall for him, apart from his lovely looks, was when he sent me an email saying that he wished I wasn't sad and that if I let him he would love me endlessly as much as he could every day. And I did let him :) We decided pretty quickly to meet up in real and 3 months later we met at Gothenburg airport. As soon as I saw him I thought he had the most amazing eyes I'd ever seen. They're olive green and he looks at me in a way that no one else can! Our first kiss was really awkward haha, but at least we had the balls to dare to kiss after knowing each other basically 30 seconds in real. Mike decided to stay in Sweden after only 2 weeks together. We became not only a great couple but also best friends. We always love spending time together and do things together. We value our friendship as much as our love and I can tell him absolutely anything and he feels the same way about me! We've had our ups and downs like any couple, but we've always managed to rise again. Sometimes people have been really unsupportive, but I suppose that only made us stronger. In November 2010 Mike proposed to me and we got engaged, throwing a surprise engagement party for our friends and family. They had NO idea we had gotten engaged. My sister had her suspicions though. We welcomed everyone without rings on, and then we asked everyone to go into the living room where we put on our rings and proposed a toast. Our friends and family were SO surprised. The look on their faces was priceless! In 2013 we started saving up for our wedding for real and decided to tell everyone that we were planning it. It was at first meant to be in Ireland, but unfortunately we couldn't. Now we're having it in Sweden instead, in the place we've lived before together and in the village I grew up. We both love this village and it just feels right! Our priest is the priest who served during my confirmation and he was my sister's priest for her wedding. He's great! I hope to share a lot of stories with everyone online, because even if we still have a bit left for our wedding, we've been in a lot of chaos haha :)

Do you think "vintage era themed" weddings are on the way out or are they played out already? Themes like Roaring 20's Art Deco, Great Gatsby, Victorian, 50's rockabilly, etc.? The reason I am asking...
Let me start off by saying I do appreciate a couple having a gift registry. What I don't understand is a honeymoon registry. Recently a gentleman from work and his wife were invited to a Honeymoon...
We had a wonderful day everything was perfect. We stil on a cloud remembering every moment.
