Church & Temple Wedding Venues in Houston

Everything about Brookwood was amazing, professional, and simple. I was initially worried about how casual it looked, but the cafe looked completely different on our wedding day! The staff dimmed the lights and the room looked very romantic with the candles we had as center pieces. They have full length table cloths, but our flower decorator started setting up before Brookwood put the long table cloths on. Our pictures were beautiful, especially with the stained glass in the chapel. The food was the BEST, our tasting was the most enjoyable part of wedding planning! We had a lot of food and even had a lot of leftovers. The food is included at Brookwood, so we didn't have to do additional planning. We had alcohol, but a few people told me the actually preferred Brookwoods Apple Mint Tea- highly recommend trying it! I was initially worried about the small size of the dance floor. Turns out, it was the perfect size! We had about 130 people at the wedding, and the small dance floor meant everyone was in close proximity, which made our reception pictures look fantastic! (SGI photography). Since Brookwood is open to the public, we were able to visit multiple times before the wedding and get ideas on decor and seating. The cherry on top was that every dollar spent went to the welfare of special needs adults!

We are members of Plymouth United Church so it was a natural decision to have a wedding there. Even if we weren't members the location is excellent, the sanctuary where the ceremony is held is just wonderful and the people who helped us truly care. I highly recommend Plymouth as a wedding venue.

The Vale as a venue and as a team were OUTSTANDING! My daughters wedding was on this past Sunday (6.22.25) and we have been working with The Vale since last summer when we booked. The entire team has been outstanding in every way and of course as a venue, the property is gorgeous! Everything went perfect! A big thank you to all involved!

Having the ceremony there includes a coordinator, organist/pianist, pre-marital counseling, 2-hour 'getting ready' time on location, and a few more things that I can't remember. We worked with Kayla and she was great; we had 2 short meetings and she took care of the set-up and details like getting the guestbook and pictures in the right places, etc. The organist was great and did not need any direction (which was so nice!). I only gave 3.5 stars on flexibility because there are some rules you have to follow, but they really aren't a big deal and wouldn't change my mind about having the ceremony here.

Pastor Virgil Yehnert was the officiant for our wedding. I grew up knowing him and he lived 2 doors down from my parents house. It really was special that he was able to officiat our wedding.

We had the ceremony in my grandmother's and my church, Westbury Baptist Church, in Southwest Houston. The ceremony was officiated by the Senior Pastor, Brother Jeff Berger, who although he was new to WBC this year, was amazing. He took time to counsel us prior to our ceremony, give us advice, and put special touches into the actual wedding ceremony. We would recommend him to anyone who wants to get married there. The best part was that we were the first couple to get married in the renovated sanctuary.

We attend church at Salem. The place is beautiful and perfect for photos. They have two wedding coordinators who are very detail-oriented. Pastor Tim conducted a wonderful ceremony and did a great job tying in our story with the message. We could not imagine getting married anywhere else. Because there are only a few weddings a year at Salem, you can pretty much count on getting the date you want. Totally worth checking out before you decide on anywhere else.

Although it is a catholic church, it is my home church. I grew up in the church and they were very flexible with me with what they offered. Not many people get married in the church anymore (at least at ours), so they were ecstatic that one of their own returned home to have the ceremony. The church is beautiful and was offered freely for the ceremony. The hall was used as the reception area and was a short walk across the street. It was only 500 to rent out. We were free to decorate as we wanted. The church needed little work, as it is already beautiful. With the help of our wedding decorator, the hall was transformed into a beautiful wonderland.
