Adrienne was excellent to work with. From start to finish she was attentive to our needs, finding solutions to our concerns and providing us with a perfect evening for the wedding rehearsal dinner. Everyone was very impressed with the room and the food was excellent. I highly recommend Jake's Catering.

Everyone at the Victorian Belle was a dream to work with, and the space was the perfect backdrop to our wedding. The house and grounds are beautiful, the staff is friendly, professional, and experienced, and the in-house catering is great. It was really nice to use their catering and tables, chairs, settings, etc. rather than have to find more vendors. We had our perfect wedding at the Victorian Belle and would recommend the venue to anyone.

We loved having our wedding at The Evergreen! They were easy to work with the space is incredible. We also were able to use Loyal Legion downstairs for our cocktail hour. Our guests had an amazing time! The bar staff upstairs and downstairs made sure that everyone had exactly what they needed.

Jennifer & staff did a great job for our wedding! The food was great & the set up was beautiful. The only thing I’d say we wish was different was the AC (wish it was cooler inside) & having a little bit more guidance as far as what to expect next - the day of. Would highly recommend this venue!

The Melody Event Center was the perfect venue for our most special event! Anna Sass and JB made sure all went perfectly for our special day. We hired their catering services as well. The food exceeded our expectations as well as the rest of the entire event and facility. Our guests used such words as "Classically Elegant, Most Magical Experience, Like Something out of a Fairytale, "A Magically Elegant Event that will never be forgotten" ... We cannot thank you all at The Melody enough for helping to make our most special day the most memorable experience for us as well as our guests. We highly, with out a doubt recommend The Melody Event Center for any and all event needs, we hd the Portlandia & Broadway rooms and they suited our event "Perfectly"! This venue was the perfect setting for my wife and I's wedding day and everyone we talked to was friendly and helpful. This venue included set up of chairs and tables, and allowed you to bring in whatever vendors you wanted. The aesthetic to me was perfect. It has enough warmth and character that we didn't feel the need to go overboard on decor to make it feel like something special was happening. We’ll cherish the memories made here. We would recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding or other event.

We absolutely LOVED working with Opal 28! From start to finish they were an absolute joy. They were a well-oiled machine with clear and consistent communication throughout the entire process. The staff were SO attentive and kind, there were no surprise fees, and everyone went beyond the call of duty. Having an Opal 28 on-site coordinator (shoutout Ranessa) for the process and wedding day made planning a breeze. She made everything run so smoothly and we really felt that we had nothing to worry about. Even with the ever-changing Covid rules, she and the rest of the staff were always cool, calm, and collected. Being able to have the music piped through the venue sound system gave us one less thing to worry about. That also goes for their on-site catering. A few months after the wedding we’re still having guests tell us how fantastic the food was, both cocktail hour appetizers and the plated dinner! (The goat cheese balls, lemonade-brined fried chicken, and avocado toast were fantastic cocktail appetizers. The salmon and carrots for dinner were also phenomenal). Having the ability to bring in our own decorations and dessert made it so we could set our own budget and do whatever we wanted. They even kept our desserts in their fridge and helped us box up the leftovers. Opal 28 also has apartments above the event space that we rented out. That made getting ready and having a place to stay really easy. We cannot rave about Opal 28 enough!

Both my (now) husband and I have a theatre background. We looked at only 4 venues after having looked at over a dozen online. We both already leaned toward PCS, having been there for shows, but when we toured with Elizabeth we just knew this was the spot for us. We were not disappointed! This was an amazingly unique venue that screams Portland green. Working with Elizabeth was so easy. She was responsive and thorough and everything turned out just as we planned. My husband ended up needing to use a wheelchair due to a back issue, and my grandmother (who was our flower granny) also arrived in a wheelchair rather than her usual walker, and the staff accommodated us beautifully. We were able to make small tweaks to our ceremony entrances to work with the wheelchairs and it was just beautiful. Our guests raved about the fantastic venue and we felt very safe, secure and well taken care of for our wedding day. Thank you so much for being a part of our wedding memories!! If you are looking for a unique venue downtown Portland, this is a great option.

The Village Ballroom is a great place in Portland. Beautiful space for our wedding, which ended up being about 90 for ceremony and buffet dinner. We had our ceremony on the stage and there's a lovely bar in the adjoining room. The venue operates as a non-profit, so profits from the event are donated by the Village Ballroom to one of 6 local charities that they are partnering with at that time. A good way to feel like you're giving back to the community! Alcohol is limited to wine, cider and beer--no hard alcohol on premises. They do recommend that you have someone available to help coordinate the day of. I know other venues who do weddings and events regularly have an on site wedding coordinator as part of their staff but we asked a friend who used to help with weddings so it turned out perfectly for us.
