I met Patricia at the Brest Cancer silent auction event where I �won� her after placing a bid. I had looked up information on officiants and when I talked to her there I just fell in love with her- It also warmed my heart to see her donate her time and talents to such a worthy cause. We were a little concerned about finding an officiant who understood that we�re not religious yet wanted some mention of a prayer or something to please FI�s family. She was more than understanding and was on board with everything we wanted to do. We also told her right away that we were so over the unity candle and sand ceremony but that we wanted something to symbolize unity but that was also unique. She came back to us with 4 different ideas and of them we loved the handfasting ceremony- origin of �tying the knot� it fit us perfectly with the questions you ask and everyone came up to us after to tell us they�d never seen that done before the that the questions were so true to what a real marriage is like.
