Loretta Stanton (wedding planner at the church) made our wedding day! She helped in every single step of the way including countless emails, phone calls, and meetings (from making sure you are on track with your timeline to offering help with local vendors to the little important things like making sure you remembered to buy the mothers and grandmothers their corsages...she does not miss anything!). If you want a very experienced, professional wedding planner who is on top of everything, keeps everything in order, and who will make your day perfect and flawless, your money will be more than well spent at this venue (not to mention the breathtaking beauty of this church!!!!) She goes above and beyond anything we could have expected for our wedding. Fort Street is a hidden gem in the city - this made for the perfect location for our wedding which aimed to celebrate the city my husband and I fell in love and Detroit's unique beauty and current renaissance. We cannot thank Loretta and staff enough for all of their hard work. She recommended and connected us with Pastor Michael Zerkich who led us through our pre-marital counseling and officiated our wedding. Despite us initially being a bit leery about a "stranger" marrying us, we were extremely satisfied and very happy that we were not only guided along the premarital process by Pastor Zerkich but also grew to know him and him us. In fact, we feel like premarital counseling should be a MUST to whoever is getting married (faith aside). The entire staff was incredibly helpful and courteous throughout the whole entire day. When you get married at this venue, you will be taken care of from start to finish. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Fort Street is the perfect location for a fairytale-esque wedding, thank you :)

Reverend Kellie Whitlock was our officiant. I have nothing but wondeful, amazing, incredible thigns to say about her. Her script for our ceremony was better than I could have ever dreamed. Our guests kept telling us there wasn't a dry eye in the house because people were so touched by the ceremony. It was beyond words beautiful. We are so happy we had the pleasure to have Kellie with us on the best day of our lives.

He was the best! He had spoken to us, and made sure that our day was gonna be the best ever!

We booked our wedding date over a year in advance so of course we got the day we wanted. I being married in a catholic church there where something’s (classes) that we had to take before the wedding, and we had to complete them before a certain time, but since we started with the church so early we also started getting the classes we had to take out of the way early so as our wedding day got closer we didn't have to worry about it. The only fee for the church was a donation, which was a lot cheaper then if we had, had the wedding outside the church.

My wife and I were married at Historic Trinity Lutheran Church in August. The venue was absolutely gorgeous. It is so beautiful and well adorned that decorations can be minimal or skipped entirely. They have a very structured and traditional service but let us mix in some of our own preferred poetry and music choices.

Everything went very smoothly and it was a beautiful service!
