Wedding Music Bands in Iowa

Wow. Terry was fantastic. He is an acoustic guitarist who is popular at some local spots, and my parents suggested I see if he would perform at our wedding reception. Best suggestion ever. He is a skilled guitarist, has a great song list, and didn't bust our budget. We got SO many compliments from our guests, they loved the music and the atmosphere he created. He was truly awesome, and we still go to some of his shows around town.

The Downtowners are absolutely wonderful! They have a great big band sound and play all of the great songs from the 20s-60s and probably more. Their song list was insane! I could not have hired a better band. Dan was so easy to communicate with and was very helpful, even with my crazy questions and last-minute concerns. I totally recommend them if you are having a wedding in the Des Moines area and want to hire a band!

Having a live band was my biggest priority for our reception, and they did not disappoint! The only downfall was that it ate up a large portion of our budget. The band was fun and entertaining and everyone at our reception commented on how great it was. They were very flexible in allowing us to play our ipod during dinner and use their equipment. They also will cater to your tastes- we had a nice variety of jazz, country, ballads, dance songs, etc.

Did a great job! They were amazing and wonderful to work with! Their son Bret played sang and played guitar during our wedding ceremony! Absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you!!!

Tammy and Bill from Inn the Barn are wonderful to work with! You will never find a more beautiful place to have your wedding or reception. Bill and Tammy will bend over backwards to make sure that everything goes smoothly. The barn is breathtaking and not like any other!

What can I say about this Band. They were amazing!!! From the first meeting they were so accommodating and helpful with the planning process. They nailed our intro music. We had requested songs for the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dance and they knocked them out of the park. Every one of the band members was gracious, kind, and energized. They kept the party going all night, and the guests had nothing but great things to say. They would've kept partying til the wee hours of the morning if we let them! If you're in the Des Moines area and looking for a talented group to really set your party apart, give these guys a good look. You won't regret it.

Tony B was the first vendor we knew we HAD to have at our wedding. His musical talent is outstanding. We spent many date nights watching him sing/play. We were thrilled that he was free on our wedding date, and we are excited to have him as part of our special day. We have been guests at weddings he has played, and he really does make the event memorable.

This band MADE our wedding reception. Everyone was dancing the entire night, including my 78 year old grandfather! They were the perfect mix of oldies and contemporary, took requests, and interacted with the guests. Communication prior was great, they were super organized and the emcee (extra $150) kept us on schedule the entire night, and so affordable. We booked about 10 months in advance, and they play around the Des Moines metro quite a bit, so go take a listen if you're curious!
