AFFORDABILITY I researched affordable wedding cakes - from Publix cakes to various cake vendors around the Atlanta area & south of Atlanta. White Windmill (their main location in Doraville at Buford Hwy) has always been my favorite bakery and I thought their wedding cake would be much too expensive. But surprisingly their cake turned out to be as affordable as the Publix cake (actually a bit cheaper for the 200+ guests I was requesting for). When I found this out, I stopped by after work and ordered a cake. They asked if I wanted to taste test, and I said I didn't need to. I know this bakery makes good cakes. This is my go-to cakes for family birthdays. TASTE/DESIGN The cake was BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS. I was surprised at how many of the guests came up to me asking about the cake vendor. The cake was fluffy, and the icing was light and tasty (which is the reason I wanted an asian bakery - the light, cream icing was the big hit). SERVICE White Windmill has always had amazing service - their staff is well trained in customer service and they usually go above and beyond what is expected and delights in making the customer happy. I am not over exaggerating. My contact "Jay" called me a few times to ask my preference about specific details regarding the cake design and to coordinate the delivery timetable (the reception was south of Atlanta on a Friday and they had to drive the cake through downtown Atlanta traffic). They took care of everything, so it was one less thing I had to worry about. OVERALL I don't usually get around to writing my reviews, but this nagged on me because of how good this vendor was and how fantastic the service and the cake was. They have other locations, but the Buford Hwy (Doraville) bakery is the main location where I believe all the cakes are made and shipped to the other locations.

Awesome LEMON-LAVENDER cake!!!! We (and all our guests) LOVED our cake and their mother-daughter cottage business. They did not charge anything extra for adding lavender flavoring like other more expensive cake places. Plus, at our tasting, they had a beautiful, quaint set-up in their own kitchen at their house. AND, they offered to make a miniature cake for us for our 1 year anniversary so that we don't have to eat frozen, icky cake that's too old!!!!!

Shanice was wonderful to work with. She was very responsive and professional. This was the most delicious and beautiful cake I have ever had in my life. We ordered almond white wedding cake + cupcakes with strawberry buttercream which our guests loved. From ordering the sample box to getting the final product delivered, she made things so easy. Her prices were very reasonable for the high quality, too. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding cake or a beautiful custom cake for any other occasion.
