Having Zachera as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made! She went above and beyond to capture our special day so beautifully. We had her for 10 hours on the wedding day and she did our engagement shoot too. She also will work with you to customize your photography package in a way that works best for your goals and budget. On both days, she made us feel very comfortable and natural and we are thrilled with the way the photos have turned out!

Zachera was easy to work with and detail oriented—even remembering individual family members’ names during family photos. She went above and beyond to make sure she knew exactly how to work with the lighting and spaces by joining us at the final walkthrough at our venue. She mastered the lighting at the University Club—which I’m sure is difficult to do as our ceremony backed up to the stained-glass windows overlooking the lake. She also helped us create a timeline that worked perfectly for our location in downtown Chicago and large bridal party.

Choosing Zachera to photograph our wedding was the best decision we made. From start to finish, Zachera was there for us – going above and beyond, helping us warm up to the camera (thank goodness for the engagement shoots!), to staying on calls longer with me to ask how I was doing during the insurmountable wedding planning process, all the while keeping an open and transparent line of communication – Zachera simply ‘gets it’. She is one of the best humans to ever exist that is following her passion, and the expertise that comes with it can be seen in her work. The proof is in the puddin'! Hiring Zachera was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. I'm writing this review almost a year late, and I only hope that I can do some justice to Zachera by saying that after all this time, I'm still in love with my wedding photos just as the day we received them! We got married in May 2022, and even a week ago my friends mentioned Zachera out of the blue and were praising Zachera and her team's professionalism, workflow, and care at our wedding. Throughout the entire process, Zachera has been extremely communicative from day 1 when we inquired about her way back in 2019, survived through two postponements from the pandemic, and finally delivering our finished photos. Zachera's work speaks for itself, and she is just an amazing human being to work with. Zachera knows the right poses to make you and your partner look great on camera, and she definitely hyped us throughout the day with her positive energy. For our wedding, Zachera and her team had to shoot a lot of group photos of family and friends requiring a lot of patience while trying to stick to the schedule, and they executed this so well. I can't imagine anyone other than Zachera capturing our wedding day photos, and we're so thankful to have shared our special day with her!

I am in love with Zachera. Zachera, if you read this, we should probably become best friends. Not only is Zachera a beautiful person inside and out, she stuck with my husband and I through the entire pandemic with grace and understanding. For our engagement shoot in 2019, Zachera flew all the way to Los Angeles to take stunning photos on the beach. In 2020 when we had the ever popular mini ceremony, Zachera was there to ensure the day was even more beautiful than we imagined. And in July 2022, Zachera helped us finally celebrate our marriage with our family and friends. She was so patient with me when I was overwhelmed and was more helpful in the planning process than I could have dreamed of. She makes the day fun, makes sure to capture who you and your partner truly are, and manages to make the lighting bend to your every wish. She is truly a photography wizard and extraordinary person. I seriously cannot recommend her more.

From the moment we met Zachera over a zoom call we were obsessed! She is the sweetest human and beyond talented! One thing that stood out as we were searching for the perfect photographer is that she included an engagement shoot as part of her packages because she wanted to meet us before the big day and get to know us as a couple! Zachera always goes the extra mile - we invited her to our final walkthrough with our venue and she came to scope out photo spots and see the venue with us. It meant so much that she took time out of her busy day to come meet us as we were a month out from our wedding!

On our wedding day as soon as she walked in I was SO excited, at this point she was more than our photographer, but a friend! She came in, set up, and started doing her thing! She took so many pictures and made sure she captured every detail! She made sure we stuck to our timeline and if I needed help with my hair, veil or dress she was there! The pictures turned out so stunning from our first look to walking down the aisle she captured all the emotions we felt on our day so wonderfully. She was quick to return the photos back and I go through them weekly - we are obsessed! I feel very lucky that we were able to work with Zachera. We knew photography was going to be a big priority for us going into wedding planning - we wanted to find someone to truly partner with us to capture our special day. We spoke to at a lot of photographers, it was an overwhelming experience - but you know that feeling when your shoulders finally relax, something just clicks and feels right? That's what we both felt after speaking with Zachera. Simply put - Zachera is a special human and an amazingly talented photographer. She has a vibe and energy to her that both excited us about the possibilities of what our wedding could be and calmed the nerves we both had going into planning. My husband and I LOVED working with Zachera from day 1. We loved getting to know her during our engagement photo shoot and she was SO understanding and flexible rescheduling with the COVID pandemic going on. On the day of my wedding, Zachera and her team were so easy to work with, captured all parts of our wedding and even stepped up to help with some day-of issues without us even asking when our hotel coordinator was a bit MIA. She brought such a fun energy to our wedding day, was very flexible/adaptable and very professional. All our pictures turned out SO BEAUTIFUL. And we were so impressed at the quick turn around!!
