Yesterdays was very helpful in planning a menu for our wedding. They offered different suggestions based on budget, size of event and serving style. They can do traditional buffet style, plated, or station set up for food. Based on Yesterday's recommendation, we decided to have passed bite-sized hors d'oeuvres instead of dedicating a separate appetizer table as that would create lines and people wouldn't be able to mingle as well. The appetizers we chose were fruit and cheese skewers, bruschetta bites, and spinach artichoke on crackers. We were able to customize the menu to our specific tastes, and also were given suggestions on menu items that work well for large events. Yesterdays has great 'word-of-mouth' advertising, and after talking with many locals on best caterer for the Okoboji area, Yesterdays name came up over and over with positive experiences, and not a single bad word to say. Their specialty is upscale fine-dining, and the food was very fresh - aka not loaded with tons of creams and calories. Our guests especially enjoyed the fresh field greens salad with raspberry vinaigrette, strawberries, chopped walnuts and blue cheese crumbles. If you are looking for upscale, fresh ingredients, and a caterer who is well established, knows how much food you will need for your event size, and has a great waitstaff to help, Yesterdays is an excellent choice.
