I remember our first call; Sophia asked many questions and got to know our vision for the wedding weekend and goals for our planner/client relationship before even discussing her services. We had spoken to upwards of 10 planners (NYC, Boston, and Destination) before deciding to go with Sophia, and we can confidently say she was the only one who seemed to genuinely listen. We worked with Sophia from start to finish; she was incredibly easygoing, organized, and talented. In hiring a wedding planner, we were seeking a wedding and event expert to help us navigate the wedding industry and someone to plan, execute, and deliver on our wedding vision, and we certainly got that. Willow Hill knew which vendors to work with and was collaborative towards working with new vendors we discovered. Willow Hill also worked well with our venue's event team, navigating questions and behind-the-scenes planning over the year, ultimately allowing us to be guests at our own wedding despite a significant last-minute rain site plan change. In Sophia, we got someone who understood fundamentally that this was our wedding, not their event, and who, up until the last minute, exceeded our expectations. After looking at fancy wedding venues, our daughter decided she wanted to get married at a sleep away camp. I panicked. A sleep away camp? How were we going to pull this off?

We both agreed that the most important decision was hiring the perfect wedding planner. We needed someone special that could throw an amazing wedding at a sleep away camp. We interviewed a lot of party planners. When we interviewed Sophia, she had an immediate calming effect. She understood my daughter’s vision and was excited about it. She told us that her niche was taking a blank canvas and creating a beautiful wedding. My daughter and I both agreed, without hesitation, Sophia was our wedding planner.

Sophia is professional, kind, and genuinely a delight to work with. From the minute we spoke to her, we adored her and loved her throughout the entire process. We are sad the wedding is over because we had so much fun planning everything with her. We miss her!

Sophia is extremely organized—she kept us on task hiring vendors, kept a thorough to do list, managed all the vendor contract deadlines, orchestrated every timeline for the entire weekend, and throughout it all, she was kind, understanding, extremely helpful and most importantly, she was accessible.

She has wonderful vendors she works with, and great ideas for décor, flowers, escort walls, tents, etc., and remembers all the tiniest details like bathroom necessities for guests at the reception. We had detailed to do lists after every call, and she helped us source even the smallest items.

My daughter’s wedding was a huge undertaking-- a 4 day weekend beginning with providing buses and boxed suppers for all the friends coming from NYC to the Adirondacks on Thursday. Festivities began with a Welcome Party and Bonfire on Thursday evening. Friday—breakfast for everyone and then lakefront opened with water skiing, banana boating, canoeing, paddle boarding, and more. After Lakefront, a Barbecue lunch and Color Wars. Friday night was the Rehearsal Dinner and Bonfire. Saturday morning Soccer Cup, Tisch, Ketubah signing, Wedding, Reception in the Dining Hall, Bonfire and after party. A final Sunday brunch before the buses loaded to head back to NYC. Phew…. Who would want to take that on?

We had to have a rain plan and sun plan for all events (including board games, boozy bingo, karaoke, beer pong, a tent, etc.). We had to crane in air conditioning for the dining hall and so much more.

When we arrived on camp on Wednesday before the wedding weekend began, Sophia told us to relax and enjoy. She and her team were “on it”.

Sophia was AMAZING!!! She was in constant communication with us via text and golf cart whenever there was a decision to be made, a guest needed something, or we had a question. The weekend brought pockets of rain but no worries, Sophia and her team took care of everything. Thirty minutes before the outdoor wedding ceremony began a huge storm hit but somehow Sophia managed to not only have all the chairs dried off, but each had a program, fan, kippah, and umbrella. The sun came out right as our daughter walked down the aisle. It was INCREDIBLE!!! My daughter and her now husband had the time of their lives and enjoyed every single minute from beginning to end.

The weekend was perfect because of Sophia and her team! Thank you, Sophia (and Eyliese!) for everything that you did and for keeping us calm and enjoying every part of the planning.

Where do I start? Sophia from Wink & Willow made our wedding absolutely INCREDIBLE!! If you're in the VT/NY area, this is who you'd want as your Wedding Planner/Designer etc. Sophia is a true gem and so great to be around. She not only helped put together an AMAZING team to help plan/design the perfect wedding, but she is also an awesome human. As every bride/groom knows, trying to attempt to plan a wedding can be a stressful process, but having Sophia as our wedding planner, truly took all the stress away. I never once worried about anything during the planning process (and the wedding was in VT but we live in NJ) or on the wedding day. She is beyond organized, assertive, creative, professional, talented, fun, a good listener, problem solver! I mean the list goes on and on. If i could give Sophia and Wink & Willow 10 stars, I would! I am so grateful for her and recommend her to EVERY bride/groom to be!!
