Prior to my wedding, I worked with Willow Street on one or two catering events, and as a server at their Los Gatos restaurant (their primary business). Catering, although they are beginning to cater events more often is fairly new for the company; thus you may want someone more experienced for your reception. Prior to the event, Louise was extremely flexible willing to work within my budget, whatever it was. She was also very creative working with me to make an appetizer only reception still a high-class event and as filling as a sit down dinner. Also, because this is not catering company specializing in wedding receptions, they allowed my grandfather to provide wine through another vendor with no additional cost and allowed me to select my cake vendor without an additional cost. However, Louise is very practical and is difficult to work with if your decor or desire ambiance interferes with what she feels is necessary (for instance, I wanted dim lighting for a romantic atmosphere, and she overrode my desire by having the lights fully on at my event); therefore I suggest being very certain of what you want and communicating that to her so she doesn't have room to change it the day of. Also, she is not the greatest at making the evening flow; I highly suggest having an event planner, just for that night, to manage the timeline you desire and to communicate it to your vendors that night. Other than that the food was excellent and the price was awesome!
