The White Orchid Beach House is a boutique wedding and event venue located in beautiful Makena, Maui, Hawaii. For over three decades, A White Orchid Wedding has been specializing in bespoke island celebrations, providing couples with the opportunity to share their vows on pristine beaches and stunning estates. The White Orchid Beach House is located in the remote area of South Maui called and is one of their exclusive private premier properties.
We refer to the White Orchid Beach House as our “ island coastal retreat”. Nestled on a lovely beachfront cove in the remote area of Mākena, Maui, the Beach House is simply one of a kind. This exclusive boutique venue caters to intimate celebrations, accommodating up to 40 guests for weddings, vow renewals, engagements, corporate events, photo shoots, film productions, and, our sweet picnics beneath the swaying coconut trees.
While many are familiar with Oneloa (Big Beach) and the Pa'ako Cove (Secret Cove) in Mākena, we sit just a few doors south of these renowned spots. The Beach House is located a few miles south of the Wailea resort area.
The WOW Beach House, privately owned for over 65 years, is operated by A White Orchid Wedding, established in 1991, and offers the lovely nostalgic charm of ‘Old Hawai'i’ as it once was. This venue is one of the very first properties ever situated in this region. Offering pristine vistas of the sparkling blue Pacific Ocean, it boasts a stunning sandy beachfront—a rarity among venues. Mornings are glorious and sunsets are year-round followed by brilliant starry skies into the night. The house is fully furnished with a classic beach designed interior, furnished deck area, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a charming living space, and a kitchen ready to accommodate licensed caterers listed on our preferred vendor list.
Given its immense popularity, early reservations are strongly advised as space is limited.

With indoor and outdoor event spaces, this oceanfront venue allows couples to choose their dream setting for their ceremony and reception. Best suited to intimate affairs of up to 40 guests, their dedicated team will work closely with you to bring your dream wedding vision to life. Get-ready rooms are situated onsite for both sides of the wedding party to make use of so you can prepare in comfort on the morning of the big day.

Dream Hawaii Wedding
We were also so lucky to have picked White Orchid Wedding (WOW) as our planning service and to have been matched with Kendall Oreta as our wedding planner. Kendall was able to turn our dream wedding into a reality. She quite frankly worked magic! There is no way we would have been able to plan the wedding on our own as well as she did and we are beyond thankful for her expertise and dedication to our event. She was patient with our email responses, never made us feel rushed, and was always willing to schedule a call to chat items out if we needed. We were impressed with all the vendors that she recommended as well. They helped contribute positively to our day and we had a great time using their services. It was great to experience a planning process where our largest worry was trying to figure out which of the amazing vendors we should pick. Kendall was consistently so kind and truly cared about making one of the biggest events of our lives a special one. Her ability to plan and coordinate is impeccable and her desire to help is genuine. We will miss our emails and collaboration with Kendall!
