Great venue and everything went exactly as planned. Even worked with us to get us out of the sunlight!

Had several issues with booking the rooms for our wedding guests...they couldn't book online, they were accidentally booked at the wrong resort, they had to pay upfront although we were told they would be able to pay at the close of their stay, etc.

But upon arrival, my guests loved the resort (Town center area) and were treated very well. Thank you to the leadership team and bell staff for going above and beyond.

Please note, b/c this is customarily a timeshare, cleaning staff do not service the rooms unless requested and food can be a bit of an issue for people without rental cars.

Brides and Grooms beware! Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa is a beautiful venue but the staff is awful. Upon meeting with one of the coordinator Sheri Barron was unprepared when we call and made an appointment to tour the venue. No menu, no information, nothing at all! So, we said ok. We had trouble at the gate with the guards sizing us up like we do not belong there. I believe the improvement of the ballroom has made the staff look down on potential clients. Sheri rub my husband and I the wrong way including the guards but we pressed forward to move with them when Stefanie took over my event. I think personally they should stick to their all-inclusive package and not offer anything else. I never laid eyes on a actual menu or anything that had to deal with my type of event. I just had to go by what they told me and quoted me. I felt after the rocky start with Sheri they reassured me that there was no bad feeling and they was attentive until I have them my deposit then thats when things turned for the worst to me. I felt like I was not wanted there and they took some kind of enjoyment out of that. I was paying $5,758.71 for 48 guest which was 3 kids from 3-12 years old and 2 infants the rest adults. In that price I was getting a empty ballroom space no chairs since using their banquet chairs with chair covers cost $7.00 per chair. That price includes the reception with just the meal no cocktail hr, no cake included, no chairs, and enough to give 20 guest roughly one-two drinks. That price includes their rent polyester ivory linen that cost $500.00 which is not allowed from the outside and charged me for a 12'x12' wood dance floor that cost $500.00 as well. Everything here is an additional cost. I'm pretty sure if you blink they will charge you. They take over a week to answer you and you will have to contact them again to get things done and it never happens. The quality of service doesn't match the look and price point of the venue which is sad.
