When I showed Kristen my ideas for my wedding florals, she knew exactly what I was trying to accomplish and offered great advice and ideas. She took my ideas and elevated it to the next level. When I got concerned about my budget and considered changing certain parts of the proposal, she took the time to rework my proposal to truly give me everything I wanted within the same budget. I’ll never forget that – it meant the world to me that she would do that. It amazed me how she was able to rework the proposal within the same budget and give me my initial vision and more. It was truly a testament to her expertise and her compassion. Seeing her excited about my vision not only comforted me knowing I picked the best florist but made me even more excited for my wedding day!

As someone who has known Kristen for many years, there was no doubt in my mind that when I got married she would one day do my flowers. The results were mind-blowing and still what people have been talking about the most even 2 weeks after the wedding. Her and her team did simply stunning work. We initially talked about colors and styles, and she showed me lots of pictures of work they had done on previous weddings to get an idea as to what I did and didn't like. Then we looked through alot of flowers they had present and I pointed out other things that caught my eye. And from there the floral genius took hold and did what she does best, create works of art that almost reduced me to tears when I saw them for the first time. She took a pavillion on the edge of a golf course, and turned it into a sultry jazz cafe feel, complete with mood lighting for the centerpieces. I have known for a very long time that Kristen was an amazing person. She is among the sweetest, kindest, most caring of individuals you could ever hope to meet. However, I now know the full extent of her genius. You could not hope for someone better to trust one of the most important (and visible) aspects of your wedding too. I promise, what Kristen and her team create will take your breathe away.

Kristen and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with! She met us at our linen rental showroom to help with our design ideas. When we arrived at the venue day of her and her team were on top of things (literally on top of the arbor lol) and their work was absolutely BREATHTAKING! Kristen was amazing to work with. She gave us a very detailed proposal, complete with photos, prices and quantities so we could narrow down what we wanted to include in our final contract. She went above and beyond on wedding day to turn a very simple room into a garden dream! One of my favorite parts of the day was the flowers and I am so grateful we used Vintage Soul to carry out our vision!

I know this title sounds a bit extreme, but I cannot express enough how Kristen at Vintage Soul Floral Design took my idea and ran with it all the way through to the finish line.

I had been meeting with florists for about a month and could not find the right fit - they were not professional, they were not responsive, they were not seeing my vision, they were not a good value, etc. I was exhausted and defeated when I called Kristen. We scheduled a zoom chat and spoke for almost TWO HOURS. We just immediately clicked as vendor and client. She understood my "orange grove" wedding theme and took it all the way to its limit! She was even able to understand my desire for a unique wedding backdrop and was able to sketch something for me on the spot.

Kristen and her team truly made our wedding day a fairytale dream come true. We are a couple impacted by COVID and had to replan our entire wedding in a short 2 months. Kristen did such an incredible job executing the vision we wanted for our February wedding in Charlotte, had an unbeatable proposal and was so great to work with! You can tell Kristen has a ton of passion for her work and it comes through. She even was able to work with our planner to execute a last-minute place setting floral request. Kristin's so great, she was the perfect fit for us. She wasn't the cheapest option, but I feel like we totally got what we paid for. We went to another florist that shall not be named, and my then fiance now husband was with me, and that florist "sweet pea'd" me all day and then ignored my other half even after I asked her not to. She was prepared with no images and no computer to show us ideas. Then she typed up a messy proposal with no images, that looked like what a 3rd grader would create. It was cheap, but it was not us. So we decided to keep looking.

Enter Kristin. She took into account that the aesthetic had to represent BOTH of us, not just the female. She picked up on the fact that we like layers and textures, and put together beautiful designs that matched that. Her proposal was OUTSTANDING and she made it really easy to see her vision, provide some notes, and then get an updated proposal/vision. I loved the process, every bit of it. She also took time to meet in person, to talk through some design ideas, e.g. decorating a donut wall and some barrels, fireplace decor, cake decoration, etc. And on game day, it looked wonderful. The only flub is that her team decorated the wrong side of the trellis over our heads (we'd discussed left, they decorated the right), but I didn't really care, I was more confused as to why we bothered to discuss it if it didn't matter.

We got tons of compliments on the flowers, which were stunning and colorful without being hokey, and beautiful without being too girly bride-like. (Read: not me.) She also figured out how to use a base color of a sort of rust orange, without it getting ugly. She even decorated my bouquet with rustic, velvet ribbon. Which sounds corny when I write it, but it was so cool.

All in all, working with Kristen was a seamless and great experience!
