Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

All my life I have been interested in people, art & photography. As a photographer, I am always looking for the most romantic light and capturing real moments. I am a native Missourian, born and raised in Columbia, Missouri. Two art degrees at the University of Missouri and training at the Brooks Institute Photography in Santa Barbara, California has given me such an amazing background in visual & technical arts. I spent 10 years in Santa Barbara shooting gorgeous weddings and I am so excited to be back in Missouri to continue the adventure. Beautiful Photos

Shelly is the absolute best! She does a wonderful job with taking great pictures and getting views you didn’t even think of. She listens to what you want and helps you get everything organized so the photos are streamlined. She always goes above and beyond and you will get your money’s worth.

Terrific Experience

Shelly is a joy to work with - very professional and responsive. She was available during the preparation and planning stages of the wedding. When there was the possibility of rain, Shelly spent time scouting out alternative options. Fortunately the weather cooperated and the pictures from my daughter’s wedding were absolutely beautiful. Shelly knows well how to use ambient lighting and backdrop to frame beautiful portraits. She’s quite creative with getting great poses as well. The picture quality was so outstanding it was difficult choosing pictures for prints and enlargements because they all came out so well. I highly recommend Shelly Vinson to anyone looking for a professional photographer!

My now wife met Shelly at work, with perfect timing in regards to our wedding, and treated us like we were her favorite people. Even after her time commitment was finished, she stuck around and caught some great moments at the end if the reception.

They came all the way to Kansas City to photograph my wedding, and when time constraints affected us they were so flexible! What a beautiful collection of photos we received, and we will love sharing them with our loved ones for a lifetime!!

We’ve used Vinson Photography for both family photos and our engagement and wedding photos. Shelly is so accommodating to what we wanted and gave good advice according to the time of day we were having our wedding ceremony where day light was at a premium. I even forgot to tell Shelly about some super secret fireworks and she rushed to get the best shots of this amazing moment during our reception. We were thrilled with our photos that captured just the “Best Day” of our lives. *Will add photos

We love Shelly's work! My mother-in-law surprised us by having Shelly shooting our small ceremony. Thinking back, we are so grateful that she did it. Shelly did a great job documenting each moment of our intimate wedding. She was able to capture the raw emotions of us and our immediate family without getting in the way. She gave us ideas for poses, and also let us be ourselves. The pictures turned out beautifully, and we can't stop looking at them. Thank you Shelly for your talent, and we enjoy working with you!

Working with Shelly was an absolute blessing! We did our engagement photos as well as wedding day photos with her. All of the engagement photos turned out amazing. It was VERY hot that day - so she even suggested we could do another session if we weren't happy with the pictures. But the photos were great!! We were pretty crammed for time the day of the wedding, but she was very patient with the wedding party (especially the groomsmen. again, so sorry about them!). I can't wait to see the rest of the wedding photos!! I know they will be just stunning.

Shelly is absolutely amazing! She was responsive since Day 1 and provided the best service that I could possible imagine to me and my fiance for our engagement photos last month. We are the most awkward couple in front of the camera, and she made us both feel very comfortable! Not only that, but the pictures turned out amazing. If I could use her for my wedding, I absolutely would. You cannot go wrong with her :)

I think people should know that Shelly was truly amazing. She went above and beyond what we expected. She captured the wedding perfectly and more than exceeding our expectations. She was in all the right places at the right time and took so many incredible shots. We were so happy with how everything turned out. I can not recommended her any higher!
