About

Pianist and composer Vicente Avella is passionate about weddings. He finds that "mixed with all the glitter, beauty and excitement, each wedding is filled with resonance, and speaks in its own voice". His wedding music has been featured in Wedding Ideas Magazine, The Weddng Chicks, Love 4 Weds, Alice In Weddingland, The Wedding Community and Inspired By This. Furthermore, his Bridal March has been chosen as one of the "12 wedding ceremony songs - walking in and walking out" by Wedding Ideas Magazine as well as one of the "10 alternative wedding songs to walk down the aisle" by Love 4 Weds. This same Bridal March has also charted at #1 on iTunes and #1 on YouTube, where it's received more that 2M views.

In 2013, he released his wedding album, All the Days of My Life, produced by Grammy Award winner Will Ackerman, founder of Windham Hill Records. The record received multiple awards including Best Solo Piano Album from One World Music Awards and an Award of Excellence for Instrumental Performance Solo from Global Music Awards. The press and critics have described this wedding collection as "Stunningly performed, fresh, beautifully arranged and magical", "An impressive project", "A remarkable achievement" "...just utter musical genius" and "timeless".

He currently resides with his wife and children in Los Angeles; a city he loves and gets performs regularly for weddings and special celebrations. He is very much looking forward to hearing from you!

Excellent pianist

5stars all the wav.
Just absolutely amazing! My husband and I are beyond satisfied with the service we received. It was a honor having Vicente at our wedding. The ceremony music was exactly what imagined, and I couldn't ask for more.

Amazing, Punctual and Helpful

Vicente was amazing, he was so helpful and very understanding. I had a few hiccups leading up to my wedding, and he was so patient. Out of all my vendors he was the only one that I felt really cared about my well-being. He was also very, very knowledgeable about the Catholic Church Mass music, he gives lists of music he can play at your reception/mass which makes wedding planning a breeze! Vicente was punctual and was amazing at playing. Thank you so much Vicente!!

Vicente played for my wedding this past July. He was super easy and friendly to work with when picking out the music and made it a breeze. His music at our ceremony was beautiful! He will give you a list of music to help you pick songs but you don't have to stick to that list. There was one song I really wanted not on the list and he was happy to play it. Highly recommended musician!

We booked Vicente as our ceremony musician. I had a change of heart last minute and wanted something more intimate for our ceremony. I first found him on wedding wire and after visiting his website and hearing his music I just knew I had to have him play! His music added such a romantic touch to our special day. There was a terrible storm the day of, we had to move our ceremony inside and he still made it on time, not to mention he had to haul his equipment in the rain! (we're sorry for that by the way but thank you!) He is so sweet and very quick with responses/questions and even learned two new songs for us. He even brought us a soundtrack of his CD as a wedding gift :) We will recommend him to friends and family and hope to use him again when we renew our vows in 30 years! Thank you so much Vicente!

The music at our ceremony was far and beyond what we could've asked for. My wife and I were both touched and moved during the ceremony when we heard Vicente playing. Working with him made our wedding so special! He offered a variety of music selections for us to choose from and helped make the music fit our taste. We highly recommend Vicente!

We were fortunate enough to have Vicente play the piano and sing at our wedding. He is a pleasure to work with, and a true professional at what he does. We are so happy he was there to celebrate our big day.
His professionalism, communication, and wisdom throughout the entire process made it so that we did not have to worry about any musical part of the ceremony. Vicente promptly answered our questions and provided numerous musical wedding selections. He sent us many musical selections to review so that we could select the right ones for our wedding. He checked in with us a few days before the wedding to make sure there were no last minute questions.
He was a big hit with our guests. The music was wonderful and set the mood.
Vicente did an excellent job and was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him to anybody getting married.

Weddings are full of decisions!
When my husband and I were trying to choose our ceremony music we both felt very overwhelmed with all the choices. A friend reccommended Vicente Avella, they knew him from church and only had amazing things to say about him and his music!
As soon as we checked out his website (www.vicenteavella.com) and heard some of his original wedding music we knew he was perfect for our ceremony. Vicente was one of the easiest vendors to work with because he listened to our needs and also made some suggestions that make our ceremony better. He was very professional and on the wedding day he showed up extra early to make sure everything was in working order. Vicente Avella was one of the BEST decisions we made for our entire wedding!

We were incredibly lucky to have Vicente perform & coordinate music for our ceremony. We are regulars at St Andrew Church in Old Town Pasadena & we make it a point to attend their 9:30am Sunday mass in large part due to the mass' beautiful music arrangements by their ensemble (which Vicente leads as pianist). Once our wedding plans at St Andrew were set in motion, our main priority was to book Vicente. We approached Vicente directly, and he was happy to oblige.

Vicente is a very talented musician and will work with you to bring the vision of your perfect wedding to life. He is very accommodating, has many songs and versions to choose from and is connected to other musicians to help set the perfect tone of your wedding. We knew that ceremony music would be a crucial element in our wedding & words can't describe just how amazing of a job Vicente did. Whether it's classical wedding music or a modern interpretation, Vicente can do it all!

We are tremendously happy with Vicente's work & feel so privileged to preserve his music in the memories of our wedding. We HIGHLY recommend him for your big day! You won't regret it.

I've followed Vicente professionally for many years - from playing in my Church to his first album release - so I was already aware of his skill. He is such a Master Pianist and he evokes emotion in anyone listening to him play. So once I got engaged, he was my first booking...it was literally the week of my engagement and I had no date, no venue or anything else set but I called him and said "You're playing at my Wedding!" :)
Throughout my planning process Vicente was accessible and easygoing. My husband & I had decided on an outdoor ceremony at The Hotel Bel-Air and Vicente worked with the Hotel Manager and my Wedding Coordinator to ensure all the sound requirements were met; and even spoke to the Officiant beforehand to review our ceremony schedule! I didn't have to worry about a thing.
I love his album 'All the Days of My Life' so all our Ceremony music was selected from there and he also played other music during the Cocktail Hour. It was awesome! All our guests complimented the music and had so much FUN the entire evening.

Vicente is not only an amazing and talented individual musician, but he is a wonderful person as well. He played beautifully during my mass service and was always engaging and wonderful to work with. His piano playing is beyond compare and many of my guests gave glowing compliments about his playing. I would definitely recommend him for any possible events because his work is of the upmost professionalism and the talent he exhibits is immeasurable. Is was a true honor to have him play at my Quinceanera.
