Variety Works at the James Madison Inn & Venues is a historic wedding venue located in Madison, Georgia. This updated 1800's warehouse features rustic and refined décor and a terrace that overlooks beautiful gardens and a gazebo. Whether your wedding will be intimate or grand, Variety Works provides picturesque indoor and garden spaces to accent your special day.

Facilities and Capacity

Variety Works includes indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate up to 250 wedding guests. This charming and historic building and grounds have been updated with modern amenities to facilitate all your event needs. Built in the late 1870s as a manufacturing facility, this space features wood walls, a concrete floor, stunning chandeliers and sconces. The terrace overlooks beautiful gardens and the Gazebo at Round Bowl Spring. An event lawn provides a gorgeous setting for an outdoor ceremony.

Services Offered

Variety Works at the James Madison Inn & Venues offers venue rental for weddings and other social events. Venue rental includes 10 hours of venue use, a beautiful bridal suite, guest tables, white or wooden padded chairs and additional ceremony rehearsal time. Variety Works allows you to bring your own alcohol and hire outside vendors. Event services offered include the following:

This venue provides lodging at the James Madison Inn with 17 individually-themed luxury guest rooms and two grand suites. This boutique hotel offers Southern hospitality and refined and timeless beauty, with custom furniture, art and unique architectural details. Each room is generously sized and elegantly appointed.

Variety Works at the James Madison Inn & Venues is an ideal location for hosting private parties of varying sizes. In addition to wedding ceremonies and receptions, this location can accommodate all of your wedding events, such as engagement parties, bridal showers and rehearsal dinners. Coming from a COVID-19 bride, I can personally attest to the fact that this venue will prioritize your big day....no matter what.

Even during such an unprecedented time as the COVID-19 outbreak, Variety Works and Chastity have gone above and beyond to help make my wedding the best it can be. For a bride, a wedding may be "your special day". But for a vendor, weddings are their entire life/livelihood. And even despite this, they have consistently made it a priority to ensure I am happy while simultaneously taking the steps necessary to be responsible. They were more accommodating than they were contractually obligated to be because they *legitimately* care about the brides they work with. You can tell its not just a business, but its a passion that they enjoy doing. Its a beautiful venue, at an outstanding price, and you could not ask for a better person than Chastity to help you through the process.

Beautiful venue!

When my husband and I walked into the venue when we first went to tour, we already knew it was where we would say "I do." The biggest perk of choosing this venue? Having Chasity as a day of coordinator! She really helped us throughout the whole process and helped make sure that our special day went the way we planned! I would highly recommend this venue for your big day!

Beautiful venue

We had the best wedding at this venue in the charming town of Madison! It has so much character on its own, so we chose not to use a lot of decorations! We had an August wedding so we had an indoor ceremony, but we took so many beautiful pictures outside of the venue as well. The wedding coordinator, Chasity, pays attention to every detail and makes everything run smoothly leading up to the wedding and especially on the day of the wedding! She is seriously the sweetest person! She was there from the moment we arrived at the bridal suite that morning until the send off, including putting on my reception shoes for me while I was eating dinner before the reception starts :) Her husband Blake and the rest of her "day of" crew are pretty amazing as well! I highly recommend renting the James Madison Inn right next door!! It was definitely the BEST DAY EVER!

Fantastic Venue!

This venue was an absolute dream come true for our May wedding. We wanted an outdoor wedding with an indoor reception. The Variety Works has a gorgeous, rustic interior and the Lawn outside is very nice, too. The venue really doesn't need much decoration because it is really spectacular on its own!! Sadly, it rained on our wedding day, but the coordinator at the venue, Chasity, did an amazing job in switching to an indoor wedding at the last minute and it went off without a hitch. Chasity did an incredible job with our timeline and made our wedding day go very smooth. Great pricing, service and we were not stuck using their vendors. It is a beautiful venue, has a rustic southern feel and beautiful surroundings.

Amazing Venue

We had the best day at The Variety Works!! The venue is so open and clean and the coordinator, Chasity, was such a pleasure to work with! She was so sweet and helpful through the whole process and made everything go smoothly!!! We love this venue and Chasity and will recommend to any friends getting married!

Wonderful!

Chasity and her husband are a great wedding day duo! They made sure that everything on our wedding day went smoothly and that we had anything and everything we needed! The venue was gorgeous and Chasity and her team made everything work seamlessly from ceremony to reception. I would highly recommend Variety Works to any bride!

Best Venue EVER.

I don't think I could've had a better experience with this venue and these people! If you're looking for someone easy to work with, professional, timely and organized then the Variety Works is the place for you. Not only is the venue gorgeous, but I think the secret gem is Chasity (she works as your coordinator). From the moment we toured the venue, to the very end of our wedding day she was always there to help. She has a lot of experience and can usually answer your questions before you even ask them! She was very prompt with answering my emails and texts when I did have questions and she had tons of ideas with how to help the day run even smoother! The décor and lighting in the venue is absolutely stunning, so stunning that I barely even needed any extra decorations. The staff is also very flexible about allowing you to bring in your own vendors, however if you need ideas they have a list of people they've also used in the past. Chaisty and her husband are with you every step of the way on the actual day of, and they are on top of everything! I felt very calm and relaxed knowing that I had them to rely on (which isn't easy for me because I'm definitely a perfections). I honestly don't have anything but good things to say about this venue or these people. This venue is beautiful, reasonably priced and I promise you will not be disappointed!

Outstanding venue and friendly atmosphere!

I am the father of the bride and the officiant. We could not have been more pleased with this venue. Madison is a beautiful town and Variety Works is accessible and easy for your guests top find. Chasity, Blake, and Crystal are very professional and attentive to the needs of the couple and the wedding party. Their experience and attention to detail alleviates wedding day stress. The neighboring James Madison Inn was comfortable and convenient, another big plus for this fine venue.

Wonderful, beautiful, and affordable!

Madison is such a sweet town to be wed in! The venue is gorgeous for an inside/outside option, and it can hold a LOT of people - which was important to us! The coordinator for the venue is AMAZING and we would not have had such a smooth wedding day without her! Thank you SO much!
