I would highly recommend Vanessa to anyone looking for a makeup artist! She was extremely easy to work with, always quick to respond to questions and easy to get along with in general. I was concerned that my trial eye makeup was a bit too heavy and she had suggestions for toning it down and was open to my ideas as well. My wedding day look ended up being exactly what I wanted- I still looked like myself but it still comes through beautifully in the photos! My mom was initially concerned that having professional makeup done would be too heavy for her but we were both really happy with how it turned out. She slept in it and still looked great the next day too.

It goes without saying that Vanessa was amazing. From the make-up trial to the BIG day, she was great! Vanessa actually listened to all the crazy requests I had, from my eyeliner wing to fulfilling my full lashes request. She made me feel so beautiful and barely had to touch up my make-up during my wedding (besides the obvious lipstick from all the SMOOCHING). lol

Honestly, she was phenomenal and my day wouldn't have been complete without her. Vanessa also dolled up my bridesmaids and my mother and they were beyond stunning!

I picked Vanessa Rose for my makeup artist on my wedding day. She did my bridesmaids, flower girl, moms, and mines make up and we all absolutely loved it! We all could not stop talking about how pretty we all looked and it really lasted the entire night! My mom was nervous about how it would look (we all did airbrush) because she's older and thought the make up would make her wrinkles show, but she loved how she looked when it was all done! Vanessa is really nice and flexible, I would recommend her to anyone and I will definitely be using her again!

Vanessa Rose and her hair stylist partner Heather were recommended to me by my DOC Alison of the Smitten Bride. I could not have been more thrilled with how everything worked out.

I don't wear a lot of makeup regularly (concealer and lipstick at most) and the idea of wearing a full face of makeup for my wedding day was slightly terrifying. I relayed my fears to Vanessa and told her I wanted to look like a prettier version of myself. Well, she made me look like a stunning version of myself! As photos have come in, everyone has commented that I looked like a porcelain doll and how my eye makeup was amazing. The makeup stayed fresh looking all night, even as I was dancing up a storm. My bridesmaids all had looks done that were naturalistic and flattering.

Heather, who did hair, also did an amazing job. My curls lasted all night and into the next day, and all of the girls' hair looked amazing all night. My one bridesmaid, who never curls her hair because the curls always came undone, couldn't get over how her hair held up all night.

The girls are very skilled and a lot of fun to work with. Highly recommended!

Vanessa did an AMAZING job on my make up, my bridesmaids, and my mom. I felt the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life, and that was because of her. She made me feel so comfortable at my trial, and I left feeling very confident about using her. The day of my wedding I truly feel that my make up pulled my whole look together. She is also VERY affordable in comparison to the other make up artists I looked into. USE HER! You will not regret it.

Since I am a make-up artist and did my own, I only needed a hair stylist. I had done a couple of trials and was frustrated b/c I needed someone who was efficient and worked on location. Although they were slightly higher than what I wanted to pay, it was worth it! I did a trial and met Vanessa and Anna (the hair stylist) and they were both very friendly and professional. Anna was quick! When I made a change at the trial, she quickly undid it and did the style I wanted. The day of the wedding, she was quick and earlier than time! She also did my moms hair (which was another location) and was so friendly about it. Both of our updo's didn't budge ALL NIGHT!! Great work!!

I had a great experience with Vanessa Rose Makeup. I was planning my wedding from out of state, and she was able to accommodate my trial on a weekend. She took notes from both my makeup and my hair trial with her associate Heather (different days/times), and made big improvements between then and the wedding.

I was more nervous about the changes needed for my hair, since we didn't really nail down my "look" at the hair trial, but Heather really stepped up and learned some new techniques for me. The makeup stayed well, but the hair fell both on me and on my bridesmaids, who were styled with half up-half down large curls. It was really chilly and humid on the wedding day and we went outside for photos for a couple of hours between hair and ceremony, which may account for some of this, but I feel like it should have stayed nicer for a little longer. Thank goodness we had a friend on hand who brought her heatproof glove and a professional grade curling iron to do touch-ups before the ceremony.

Overall, I would still recommend Vanessa Rose Makeup for professionalism, value and makeup style, with some reservations about the stay-put of hairstyles.
