From the very first visit, we knew this venue was something special. Even when we toured on a rainy day, it still felt breathtaking and absolutely gorgeous—it truly didn’t need any extra “filling in” to see its beauty and potential.

But what really made our experience seamless was our Day-of Planner, Hannah. She was the heartbeat of the venue. From the start, Hannah was responsive, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. She answered every question we had and even shared a helpful list of preferred vendors. When a few vendors weren’t as responsive, Hannah stepped right in to assist with coordination and kept everything moving smoothly.

She went above and beyond with thoughtful suggestions—from color schemes to small details that other brides have found helpful—making sure we felt supported every step of the way. On the wedding day itself, Hannah ensured everything ran flawlessly. Our guests raved about how wonderful she was, and we truly couldn’t agree more.

Wow. There aren't enough words to describe how perfect our wedding day was. The venue was prepared, beautiful, and worked with all of our ideas. Hannah was an angel and was willing to help whenever needed, with whatever project we asked. Her communication from months out up to the last few days was always super quick and helpful! Thanks to Vanderwende Acres and their wonderful staff, we were able to achieve our dream wedding. Vanderwende was such a beautiful venue inside and out, it didn’t require many decorations on our part. Although they hold many weddings at their venue, Vanderwende makes you feel like you’re the one and only couple to be married there.

I actually fell in love with Vanderwende Acres years before we got married. Brian and I got engaged in 2020 right before the pandemic and VA was the first venue we visited as a contender for our wedding location. I fell in love with the property immediately, and the staff were so personable and knowledgable. Unfortunately, we had to postpone our wedding for 3 years due to the pandemic and personal reasons. During that time, we mulled through several other options for our wedding, including going out of state and eloping, but I told Brian I wanted a second look at VA before we made a decision and I knew that very moment we came back that we were going to get married there!

The venue has absolutely everything you need, all in one location - beautiful and spacious groom and bridal suites, plenty of parking space, clean indoor bathrooms, a gorgeous ceremony space, reception pavilion with a good back-up plan for inclement weather, all your chairs, tables, and the venue is so beautiful itself you don't need a lot of decor to make it look amazing!

Hannah was very responsive through the whole wedding planning process, responded to my dozens of emails quickly and kindly, and was extremely knowledgable about the venue and preferred vendors. Not only that, but she was there to help with anything and everything we needed on wedding day, including placing decor, helping with timelines, and grabbing snacks or a drink for us if we needed it!

We would recommend Vanderwende Acres to absolutely anyone!

I recently hosted a baby shower for my daughter at Vanderwende Acres. Every single part was beyond perfect. The venue is breathtakingly gorgeous. Everyone I spoke with was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Hannah took the guess work out of anything that could possible be questioned. Communication was very timely from start to finish. We will be back!

I found this venue shortly after getting engaged and immediately knew it was the one. It’s stunning. My husband and I got married on October 28th at Vanderwende Acres and we are over the moon by how perfect it was. Working with Sarah was such a joy and the whole process was stress free. I got married at Vanderwende Acres on April 29th, 2023 and it couldn’t have been a more amazing experience. The day went absolutely perfect and every single vendor we hired did a fantastic job. The weather turned out to be amazing and so many of our guests kept telling us how beautiful the venue was. We had about 100 guests and there was ample space for everyone. There were many great locations for photos, both indoors and outdoors. Sarah, the venue director, was very communicative during the whole planning process and was a gem to work with. She answered all our questions and helped ensure everything went as planned. Our guests could not stop complimenting everything about our wedding and they all seemed to have a blast. I definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking.
