Susan heads the coordination for their event space and is incredibly helpful. They are a great price for all you get. They provide the linens. They allow you to use your own caterer, but we chose to go with them and the price for all the options and bar are phenomenal.

Super frustrating experience

This is a review from an easy going bride with low expectations, so if you have high expectations from your vendor beware. We had our wedding ceremony and reception here and had the worst experience. I would not recommend to any couple looking for a hall. I confirmed headcount and date, three days before the ceremony and when we showed up to decorate day of, someone told us they did not know there was an event that day. They were supposed to set the room for the ceremony and nothing was done. My family that helped set up had no idea how many people were attending so they were unsure of the number of chairs we would need to set (i confirmed the number with the event manager that works for the lodge 3 days prior). Going in we paid additional for outside catering and were not expecting the venue staff to assist with the food or clean up. Throughout the reception, the venue had people clearing the tables (I guess they thought they were helping?), too bad they were clearing food from tables that people had just momentarily stepped away from, including my husbands. Additionally, since we hired an outside caterer, I assumed that they would not be touching the food as it was not their responsibility. Again, my mistake as they cleared it and boxed it up without discussing it with us, so my mother in law had to go chase down what happened to it. Our event ended early and we cleaned up the hall and assisted with taking out the garbage. Two days later, I heard from our caterer that the venue had reached out to her to charge her for some additional things (we had rented and paid for use of a warming table, but should have needed nothing else, so I am not sure what the additions were for), a 20% gratuity from her fee that we paid her for the food, and cash tip for the dishwasher. I do not even know what they were thinking reaching out to the vendor and not us if additional costs were incurred as the contract was with my husband and I, not our caterer. In addition to all of the day of issues, our contact prior to the wedding with the venue was not great as well. Initially we were told that our rental block hours could be broken up so we could come and decorate prior to the event and then come back for the ceremony and reception at a later hour; however, we were told a month prior that it was a consecutive block so that meant we could only decorate an hour and a half prior to the ceremony since the time of the wedding had already been set. There was some decor they said we could use for free and then told us later there would be an additional cost (not a huge thing for us. we did not end up using it, but something to keep in mind if you are depending on it). Additionally, they advertise the hall dining area can hold I believe 250 people, but I am not sure they actually have chairs for that number as our count of 160 seemed to be a stretch. Finally, they tried to increase the cost of the hall/dining rental from the original amount on our SIGNED contract after the fact (we did not end up paying the extra amount, because we had proof of the initial prices). Overall, the hall was my biggest headache of the wedding process and I would not recommend it to anyone looking to have a great relationship with their venue. The only good points were really the bartender who was super nice and the assistant for the event coordinator.
