Ulster Landing - Celtic Group
About
Ulster Landing is a Boston-based group of friends who play fiddle, harp, bouzouki, and uilleann (Irish) pipes. We specialize in folk music of Ireland, Scotland and England, and we have a great time doing it. We perform at weddings, parties, church services, funerals, ceilidhs, corporate events and more! Whatever the gathering, there's nothing quite like the sound of pipes, harp and fiddle to stir the soul and liven the spirits. Make your event truly unique with boisterous reels and jigs, soulful strathspeys and beautiful slow airs. We can provide formal background music, a rousing Irish session and singalong, or a participatory event to get your guests up and dancing reels in a matter of minutes.
Our name is inspired by the Irish province of Ulster, where Scottish and English settlers landed in the 17th century. These “Scotch Irish” developed their own Scots dialect, Ullans, and a culture distinct from the rest of Ireland.
