PHENOMENAL! Jay and Sandy are an exceptional team. They helped us choose our engagement photo location and upon arrival knew they were listening to us! Our engagement photos were incredible making us even more excited for them to be a part of an our big day. Their talent, attention to detail and precision were exactly what we were looking for. They were professional and an absolute pleasure to work with; they’re also such a fun couple! They made sure we had every photo we were looking for, they were organized and kept to a timeline to make sure everything ran smoothly. We could not have asked for a better experience.

As reviewed by my husband =) : My wife gave me one job for the wedding : find our photographer. I knew Jay was good when I found him, but I honestly had no idea HOW AMAZING HE WAS. A huge thanks to him, Sandi, and Luke! Being a photographer myself I know how difficult it can be sometimes to capture the right moment; Jay and Sandi make it look easy. When I was tasked with this huge job I knew that we needed not only a seasoned photographer, but an artistic and creative one who could move quickly, capture memories, and show us something in our day that we might not have seen ourselves. Weddings are busy, hectic, and fast, but Jay and his team (slash family) delivered well beyond what we could have expected. Words do not do his work justice, and while his skill level with a camera is unmatched, his most important feature (including his team's) is the personality brought to the event. I felt as though I had a brother and sister working together to make sure my wife and I saw the wedding and remembered the wedding in the best way possible.

Upon meeting at our engagement shoot, he didn’t know either of us aside from the phone conversations we had had, which were almost entirely logistical. Yet after talking with him for 2 minutes on site, we were incredibly comfortable being ourselves. I felt as though he captured things about us that he saw but was never told; he is just that attuned. After seeing the engagement shots I knew we were in for a trip with the wedding shots! The way he plays with light and shadow to tell a story untold is, for lack of a better word, beautiful. We have yet to receive the full album and digital copies, but I don’t need to see them to write this review or to confidently say they are all amazing. If a picture is worth 1,000 words, his are priceless.

Because of Jay and his amazing team, my wife and I, and both our families and guests, will never forget the powerful moments. Hats off to Jay and Sandi and Twisted Oaks!

Sandi & Jay are like no other team! Their vision, their relaxed demeanor, their attention to detail and their direction are like none other! It also helps that they are extremely friendly, personable and the best couple ever! Simply put, there are the BEST! They made sure to capture everything and then some! There was no doubt in my mind to hire Twisted Oaks as our wedding photographer, especially Cecilia! From our engagement pictures to our wedding day she has been a complete pleasure to work with. Her and her team made us feel comfortable the entire time and ultimately made it fun! Not only she was great to work with but she went through the timeline with us step by step, made sure we got the shots we wanted, and we were on time for all our shot locations! When I started my search for a photographer, I knew I didn't want the light and airy, angelic wedding photos that I had seen. I knew I wanted my wedding to be captured with some contrast in a more candid, docu-style. I was recommended to Twisted Oaks and I fell in love with their work.

After a year and a half of planning + a pandemic, they never once missed a beat. Eric, my photographer, was/is AMAZING. He was in contact with me the entire time, checking in to not only see if there was anything I needed, but also to get me excited for the big day. Surely, their entire team was overwhelmed with postponements and cancellations, but you'd never know it working with them.

The day of our wedding, it was important to me that I didn't have to do much work. I was fortunate enough to have Eric and Kristen direct me and put me at ease. They are chill, casual, funny and worked their asses off the whole day. I've heard you know you have a good photographer when you don't know they're there. I agree and disagree with this. It's true that I was able to enjoy the night without feeling like I had a camera in my face. However, there were times throughout the night where I may have been out of range, having a moment with friends/family, and all of a sudden, I'd look over, and either Eric or Kristen were there to capture it. And THAT to me is what makes a great photographer.

I've received some sneak peaks of our pictures, and my family, friends and I went NUTS. They are exactly what I was hoping for and I CAN'T WAIT to see the rest! I had such an amazing experience working with Eric, Kristen, and the Twisted Oaks team. It's hard to believe it's all over [crying] , but they will always have a place in my heart!! I hope to work with them again and hope this review helps to bring them the business they absolutely deserve!

We hired Eric to shoot our engagement and wedding photos and he was fantastic! He did such an awesome job and comes up with the coolest ideas for very unique and artistic shots. All of our guests couldn't get over how great the photos came out! He was also very organized and professional and had great communication throughout the entire process. Once we saw Jay and Sandi’s photography online we knew we had to have them shoot our wedding. They capture the emotions, feelings and intimate moments of your wedding in such a beautiful journalistic style. They are extremely talented, super fun to hang out with and make you feel comfortable all day. From the beginning they were extremely responsive, organized and easy to work with. Doug, John, Jay and the entire Twisted Oaks team were absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding. Photography was by far the most important aspect of our wedding day. Throughout the entire planning process and up through our big day, we constantly joked that we were getting married for the pictures because pictures were THAT important to us! We researched our options extensively and landed on Twisted Oaks both for the quality of the images and the incredible, one-of-a-kind editing.
We were lucky enough to get scheduled with Doug and John, who were both an absolute joy to work with. Doug was available throughout the planning process to bounce ideas off of and discuss our timeline. He is so easy going and was always available to answer our questions. We met Doug a month before the wedding where we were able to get to know each other, hash out day-of details and share our picture preferences. Doug eased all of our worries. When it came to wedding day, Doug and John absolutely exceeded expectations.
They were so incredibly fun to work with and extremely creative. They truly are artists. We can’t say enough how stress-free and enjoyable they made the process. Even our wedding party had fun during what is normally the least exciting part of the day, in large part due to Doug and John’s demeanor.
After the wedding, we were blown away by the teasers and final gallery. We were so pleased with the quality of the pictures and the beautiful editing. Not only did they capture every special moment, but Twisted Oaks’ photojournalistic style re-tells the story of our wedding perfectly. Jay was so wonderful answering all of our questions after our big day. We truly appreciate all the hard work Jay and his team put into editing our pictures to perfection. We would recommend Doug, John and Twisted Oaks to anyone.

We did both our engagement photos and our wedding with Angela and we loved her! Our photos are amazing and we couldn't be happier. She was friendly and professional the entire time, and returned our photos promptly both times. I would definitely recommend her.
