When we first hired Melissa for my daughter's pre-Covid wedding, I felt confident in planning the wedding with Melissa's help the month prior to the date. When we postponed the wedding, it became a completely different event - one that wouldn't have happened so seamlessly without Melissa's assistance. From helping us draft a new "Save the Date", to crafting a sensitive "Sorry we are having a much smaller wedding" note, to helping us with Covid-safe logistics and layouts of the tables, and working with each and every vendor in a timely and organized manner, she is a pro at her job. The bride and groom had the wedding they always dreamed of, and I was able to enjoy every minute of it. Melissa is an amazing wedding planner and even a better person. I cannot imagine not having her input/assistance at the wedding. The timeline she created for the wedding day kept us all on point. She is thoughtful, creative, organized, dedicated, and thinks of everything! Do yourself a favor and hire her. We will forever be grateful for everything she did for us.

I don’t even know where to begin to explain how absolutely incredible Melissa is…by far the best decision/investment we made when planning our wedding!!! I didn’t even know exactly what I was looking for in a wedding planner. I just knew I needed someone to help guide me in the right direction because I am extremely indecisive, and since I was working and had an infant at home, I didn’t have 4 hrs a night to spend spinning my wheels (i.e. looking at Pinterest). Also, I had a vision for my wedding, but couldn’t exactly explain it or know how to make it come to fruition. Melissa was able to create a custom contract for us which included design consultation, month of wedding planning, as well as unlimited emails/calls to help me make quick/correct decisions.

Melissa is incredibly kind, caring, patient, and at the same time able to manage a crowd of 200 people with complete ease and grace! During the rehearsal my sister said, “Where was Melissa when I got married? Every bride NEEDS a Melissa!” She helped manage all the vendors (some more difficult than others), leaving the whole process stress free allowing us to fully enjoy our wedding!

The overall feel/décor of the reception was everything I dreamed of! It was absolutely beautiful, thanks to Melissa! I knew the vision I was looking for but couldn’t exactly explain it clearly. However, Melissa picked up exactly what I was looking for and made it reality! All our guests kept telling us it was one of the most beautiful weddings they have ever been to and not a detail was over looked!

Also, she does it all! The day of, she had on a sewer’s apron supplying safety pins to the bridesmaids, and lip gloss to me right before walking down the aisle! She also dealt with some difficult groomsmen to make sure they were ready/dressed in time. She even came into the bathroom stall with me during the reception to help me with my dress. She made me feel so comfortable I didn’t think twice about peeing, completely bare chested, in front of her!

I honestly cannot thank Melissa enough for everything she did to make our wedding the wedding of our dreams!

Melissa was incredible to work with! She is patient, thoughtful, responsive, and flexible. Throughout the planning process, she supported my mom and I by narrowing down decisions, making creative recommendations, helping with vendor selection, advising us on what was worth spending on and what wasn't, and making sure that all of the little details and logistics were taken care of. She was also a huge advocate for us with the contacts at the venue as well as with all of our vendors, serving as a liaison for any issues we had. During the wedding weekend, my husband and I were able to fully relax and enjoy every minute, knowing that Melissa had everything under control, including keeping an eye on us to make sure we had drinks and food. If anything went wrong, we didn't know about it! I would fully recommend working with Melissa for your wedding!

HIRE TWIN LIGHTS!! Seriously! Hire Melissa immediately - it will be the best investment you've ever made. There is simply no one better. Seriously. Melissa was our favorite and most valued partner in planning our wedding. We simply could not have pulled off our weekend in the Berkshires without her! First and foremost, she is the most lovely human on the entire planet. She is so down to earth, genuine, patient, KIND, caring and goes above and beyond for her clients. She is so organized and handled all of the little details for us seamlessly. She can manage a crowd like you've never seen - she corralled our wedding party of 18 during the rehearsal with the upmost grace and ease. She was so amazing that all of my friends raved about her to us and those who are not yet married want to hire her for their weddings! It is obvious from the moment you meet Melissa that she is something special. It's hard to fully capture her brilliance. Ultimately, we felt so taken care of, listened to and supported by her throughout the entire planning process and no question was too small or insignificant for her to help us think through.

There are many stages to wedding planning, and she can do it all. We felt like we were right on track and in great hands for every step of the planning process. She just had our back in a way that I can't fully describe - and that feeling is priceless! She is full of invaluable advice and her years of experience shows in her work. She is a true professional and has a heart of gold.

You won't find anyone who is more organized, thoughtful, has wizard-like interpersonal communication skills and is a down right good person as Melissa. Just like us, you'll be so happy you hired her.

My husband and I were SO fortunate to have Melissa and Twin Lights Wedding Design coordinate our wedding day. Melissa is the most kind and patient person and she absolutely knows what she’s doing when it comes to weddings. She was able to coordinate all of our vendors and all involved so that everyone was aware of the schedule and knew exactly where to be and when. Melissa is an expert when it comes to wedding etiquette and was able to advise us throughout the months leading up to our day. She has a true gift in her ability to competently and effectively put out fires and make sure the bride and groom never even knew there was a fire to begin with! We heard so many stories about how incredible Melissa was in making sure our day went off without a hitch. Even those relatives who are difficult to please were singing Melissa’s praises. She called and waited for AAA for a guest, offered manual labor by toting around items from vendors, set up the entire ceremony (chairs, tables, flowers, water station), managed phone calls, directed guests as to where to go, all while tending to the bride and groom to ensure that we had the time of our lives. It’s difficult to even find the best words to express how invaluable Melissa was to all of us on our big day and the months leading up to it. She is just incredible and we were so very pleased with the countless ways – both huge and small- that Melissa was able to contribute to such a beautifully memorable day. Thank you, Melissa!!

Twin Lights Wedding Design is a fabulous business because Melissa, the owner and wedding planner, is amazing.
If you want a lovely, smart, talented, professional individual to help you plan your wedding (and you most likely do, because wedding planning is exhausting), then hire Melissa. If you want an individual with the above adjectives to not plan your wedding, but just orchestrate the event on the ‘big day’, then hire Melissa. Seriously, when I think back on my wedding day, I had NO worries (aside from being nervous about being the center of attention) and just had fun. If anything went wrong during the big day, I wasn’t aware of it because of Melissa. We chose to interview with Twin Lights (whose interview was first) for two reasons: (1) the weddings on the website were all unique and little details that were highlighted really resonated with us, and (2) we liked the picture of Melissa on the website – she just looked like the kind of person you would want to work with. We knew that we wanted to work with Melissa after speaking with her. We both felt confident about her abilities and really good about her as a person. The remainder of the wedding planning process went smoothly. Melissa worked with the vendors etc. and everything was handled. She instantly got our style and us as a couple. She assisted us in the decision-making and helped us execute the wedding we wanted while keeping practicalities and logistics in mind. On the day of the wedding Melissa was on top of it. You know a planner is good when not only you and your family/friends are impressed with her, but other vendors (DJs and caterers) are amazed by her efficiency and professionalism. And, these are vendors who have not necessarily worked with her before (like the DJ, who we knew personally and who said she was the best wedding planner he worked with). I have also never seen someone handle annoying (but well-meaning) family members of the bride and groom with such grace. I could go on!

Melissa was fantastic. She was great both during the lead-up planning and day-of organizing. She keeps her cool and is very sweet. I had a vendor tell me she was the nicest wedding planner they had dealt with! We worked with a venue that does not typically host weddings (i.e., it is not their core business) but Melissa persevered and finessed and shielded me from the venue’s quirks. She offered me a selection of vendors in my price range that she’d worked with before which made the process a lot easier.
I was based out of the country but Melissa was flexible with talking mornings or evenings. I couldn’t have pulled off the wedding planning from abroad without her. Day-of, she kept the trains running on time and was ready to troubleshoot. Highly recommended.
