I recently worked with Shelly for my trip to Dreams Cancun ! Her communication was amazing! She ensured I was okay during the trip and post travel! She set up a meeting for me to meet with the Wedding Dept!

My sister met Shelly at a wedding show just as she was starting to plan her destination wedding in Jamaica. If you ask my sister she will tell you Shelly talked a good game, because her service was nowhere near what she boasted about. And it speaks volumes when every single member of the wedding party and the guests who booked through her had some type of issue please believe it! I only gave 1 star because she did take our money. I've never worked with a travel professional who required all payments go through them. We had to first email her for an auth form, then set up the payment, and sometimes the payment took weeks to process. I had to inquire about the payment and also had to request reciepts/balance etc. She rarely returned phone calls and when she did she always had some personal reason for the delay.
I finally said something to my sister about it and that's when I found out about the whole slew of crap that Shelly had messed up with my sister's reservations, despite telling my sister it was going to be handled. My sister was the BRIDE and there was just so much that I felt like Shelly should have been handling and Shelly offered no explanations, never offered to cover the cost of her own mistakes and I'm not even sure she apologized. My sister stressed way more than she should have on this.
I sent an email to Shelly expressing how I felt about not being able to make payments on my own. When she finally did email me back it was about something else...as if I never said a word.
I noticed that once payment was made in full, all but 1 email received after that was a bulk mailing and she never even bothered to make sure my first name was entered!
I arrived in Jamaica on Oct 3rd. While waiting for my room, my (new) brother in law's mom arrived. Shelly indicated that approx $237 was due on her room so my sister paid it. There didn't appear to be any indication as to why or even when the note was entered. All payments were due in July. And guess who was nowhere in sight? SHELLY!!! No call backs or texts.
This was the WORST experience of using a travel professional and even more so because just about everyone who booked through her had issues. Not a single one of us had anything good to say about her services. The purpose of using her was to help take some of the stress of planning a destination wedding away from my sister and provide a more seamless experience. I witnessed the stress my sister had to deal with in working with Shelly and I was honestly shocked but not shocked all at the same time.
Overall, we had an absolutely amazing time in Jamaica. My sister spent about 2 years planning this. There was a great deal of money spent to make it all happen. For so many of us to have had the same experience with Shelly says a lot and although I personally think she should be ashamed of herself for the ill level of service she provided, I'm pretty sure she is not. I wonder if she feels like she did a great job? Or does she know her service was trash? Why send a link to provide a review? And actually, the link didn't even work, so I'm not sure if that was intentional or if it was by mistake! All in all, if I ever personally used a travel professional, it would not be this one. I saw 4 reviews from 2023 where everyone was on the opposite end of the spectrum... so I'm like wtf happened with this one?!
