Absolutely Perfect — Thanks to Live Laugh Love Travel
My husband and I got married on January 15, 2025, at the beautiful Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic. We had about 65 guests travel with us from all over the U.S. for a week of celebration and relaxation. It was truly the wedding of our dreams, and we owe so much of that to Marilyn and her team at Live Laugh Love Travel.
Like many destination weddings, everything seemed simple at first, until a few unexpected issues came up. About two weeks before we were scheduled to leave, several of our guests received notices that their room confirmations had been canceled, even though they had booked and paid months in advance. I was devastated. I tried contacting the resort directly, but between the time zone differences, the language barrier, and slow email responses, it felt impossible to get anything resolved.
Thankfully, I had Marilyn on my side. She immediately stepped in, contacted her dedicated representatives at the resort, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to resolve the issues. Within 48 hours, every reservation was fixed, and she even managed to secure a few complimentary upgrades for our group as a courtesy from the hotel. I would have been lost without her.
From start to finish, Live Laugh Love Travel made the entire experience so much easier. They set up a customized booking link for our guests, handled questions from everyone patiently, coordinated transportation, and even helped a few last-minute travelers with flight and room arrangements.
The biggest lesson I learned is that while destination weddings are beautiful, unexpected issues are almost guaranteed. Trying to solve them alone, especially when dealing with a resort in another country, can quickly become overwhelming. Travel agents like Marilyn not only have the experience to handle these situations, but they also have direct contacts and professional relationships that individual travelers do not. Having someone who can quickly get results makes all the difference.
