Treated us like family

Grooms, don't often work directly with wedding coordinators as much as brides, but I can say with a smile that Essence of Elegance was as helpful and supportive to this groom as any bride could expect!

Yolanda went WAY above the call of duty!

We were married in Bermuda last July. She handled all the wedding arrangements so that I didn't have to worry about anything. Yolanda went WAY above the call of duty when the owner of the house we rented for us and our entire party decided to tell us one week before the wedding that the house was not rent-able. The owner claimed there was a burst pipe but when Yolanda went to the house she found there was no such problem (our belief is that the owner was going to rent the house for more money to someone else). Yolanda handled the entire situation and held the owner to our agreement. I wish I had been a fly on the wall when THAT conversation happened! LOL We'll be going back to Bermuda next year and we are looking forward to seeing Yolanda again.

Wonderful Wedding Experience

One of my dearest friends recently married in Bermuda and she hired Yolanda to be her wedding coordinator. What good luck! From the beginning of our trip to the reluctant return to the airport, Yolanda took care of all of us. We all truly felt as if Yolanda had taken us under her very competent wing from our first meeting. She is organized, thorough, efficient, considerate and one funny lady. If you retain Yolanda as a wedding coordinator, your special day will be easy and you can focus on relaxing and enjoying your wedding!

Yolanda is amazing, patient and very cool. We decided to have a destination wedding in less than 12 weeks, making the decision in May of 2015 to be married in August of 2015, coming into Bermuda on a cruise ship. I am blessed to have have found Yolanda, she understood what type of wedding I imagined and she made it happen! I had never been to Bermuda and had no idea what to expect planning a destination wedding so I had to rely heavily on Yolanda's recommendations. Yolanda is an earth angel! Our guests all said it was the best wedding they had been to! We had the most memorable event! She went above and beyond throughout the entire process from the beginning, during and after the wedding! We hope to see you again Yolanda next time we visit your wonderful island! We along with our family and friends love you!! XXX

Planning a wedding in Bermuda from the US was quite the challenge. Yolanda was so incredibly helpful with getting all my questions answered and providing support whenever/however it was needed. She is such a nice person and truly cares about her clients and people in general. She responded to all my emails, questions, calls, etc. quickly and made me feel at ease when the wedding date came closer. I highly recommend Yolanda as a wedding planner/coordinator!

To Have and to Hold gave us the dream wedding we never knew we would have. Planning a wedding you hope it turns out nice, but when we actually had the event it was more beautiful than we could have imagined. We were tourists going to have a destination wedding and we didn't have time to check out the vendors beforehand. So we had to trust Yolanda at To Have and to Hold for everything. She was wonderful. We (and the guests) were beyond pleased at everything from the beach, food, steel pan player, photographer, to the transportation. All we had to do was provide our vision and she made it happen. She offered her opinion only when asked and did not try to sell us any services we hadn't included in our vision. In addition, she was very prompt at responding to emails, and made herself available when we needed to communicate via telephone, being it last minute or late at night for her. She went above and beyond to help us create a beautiful wedding and we know she truely cared that we were happy (for example, in addition to our cake, she had two special cupcakes made for us with the layer of cake that would be saved for our 1 year anniversary). We would absolutely hire her and her company again if we had the pleasure to need to plan another event in Bermuda.
