Terence is amazing. He is friendly, knowledgeable, hilarious and willing to help his clients navigate their day with total professionalism. We fell in love with him the first time we met, which is difficult for me as I'm not a big people person! Our engagement photos were excellent and Terence made us feel totally comfortable in front of the camera.
On our wedding day, things went incredibly well. We didn't have very many hiccups (or maybe no one told us about them!) and we had the time of our lives. Terence was awesome again and I would recommend him to anyone I know who needs a down-to-earth, professional to capture their wedding day.
The only reason I didn't give TLAW a 5/5 is because after the wedding day we didn't hear anything until we received our photos back on the last day of his 6-8 week time frame (as outlined in the contract we signed). I knew how long we would have to wait, but I felt like other weddings were prioritized above ours. I'm also a little disappointed that on social media it was fairly clear our more offbeat wedding was less exciting/interesting than the more traditional weddings with higher budgets. I'm a plus-sized bride who DIY'd the majority of our wedding (invitations, decor, the bridesmaids dresses) and I feel like we're lacking a lot of the detail shots that I expected came with a wedding. We have minimal photos of my dad and I walking down the aisle, no photos of my husband and I entering our reception, and not a single photo of the caramel apple bar we put so much work into.
I love Terence as a person and he does great work. His images are high quality and creative, but I felt like we took a back burner to the other events going on is his world. I would still recommend Terence to other couples who are having a more traditional wedding, and I understand if the details were important to us that we should have made that clear to him. We relied on his experience a little more than we probably should have.
