Oh my gosh, where to start. Jody is THE best! She is so organized and always keeps on top of things for you. There were check in email to make sure we were on the same page, which made me feel comfortable through out the planning process. Chef Ann is awesome as well! My guests all said the food was phenomenal!! And the venue is just beautiful, outdoor and indoor are perfect places to have your special day. Cannot recommend enough!

We had our wedding here in August of 2017. The prices are reasonable, the site is beautiful (indoors and outdoors), the food was delicious, and everything was fabulous. I would highly recommend ThunderHawk to any bride and groom.

Jodi, the wedding planner, was incredible. She did everything possible to make our day perfect. The night before our wedding she was up at midnight emailing me asking what she could do to help! Incredible. Also, the cook Ann, is fantastic and cooks wonderfully. Also, the grounds are just beautiful!

My Husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Thunderhawk. It was beautiful, it did not have a golf course feel which I loved. The food was amazing and the staff were all great. They set up everything and cleaned up for us which took a load off of us with everything else to do. Jody was great to work with and definitely knew what she was doing.

My daughter just had her wedding at Thunderhawk Gold Club over Labor Day week end and I feel compelled to write a review because everything was absolutely spectacular. Since my daughter lives out of state, I was heavily involved in the planning over the past year. Jody, Food For Thought's Thunderhawk consultant, was a complete joy to work with. She was very accomodating with all matters and patient and most helpful with the crazy amount of questions we had over the long process of planning this wedding. The ceremony and cocktails were done outside and the weather gods must have been watching over us. The setting is stunning overlooking the golf course as well as the woods of the Lake Co Foreset Preserve. It is not your average golf course setting. The lodge is reminiscent of a high mountain lodge with vaulted wood beamed ceilings with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the outside. The food catered by FFT was excellent and the complete wedding package was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend checking out this venue if you want a unique setting with a gorgeous and romantic vibe. I never could understand why there were not more recent reviews of this place, but here is one now.

ThunderHawk Lodge was absolutely the perfect location for our rustic/elegance wedding theme. Both the indoor decor and outdoor scenery are absolutely gorgeous. On top of the atmosphere being perfect, the food (catered exclusively by Food for Thought) was absolutely delicious and visually stunning. Everyone loved it! The staff went above and beyond to be sure to provide excellence and professional assistance in every way possible. They do a very well coordinated serving routine that really impressed all of our guests. I couldn't be happier with our choice!

Cynthia took care of the reception venue and the catering with Food For Thought. The reception hall is on a golf course and looks absolutely beautiful. We were able to contol a lot of the decorating aspects and everything was done exactly how we envisioned. The place looked amazing and she was so cooperative. The catering was even more incredible and I've received countless compliments from guests on how great it tasted and how well is was presented. The servers circle the table and place each plate down at the same time and it made a huge impact on everyone. The food is prepared on the spot and is served hot, right out of the oven/stove/whatever they use! It was so affordable and everything is included: the reception hall, dinner, cake, service, and linens/decorations. It makes it so easy because all that's left is the DJ, florist and photographer to complete the reception.

Beautiful venue! I was hesitant to consider a golf coarse until I walked into the door; beautiful space! It's a forest preserve & didn't feel golf cluby at all. We were going for a very natural, laid back, rustic feel. We had our ceremony on the back patio. *Note* because it's technically a forest preserve they do not spray for mosquitos!!! But what ya gonna do. The coordinator Jody was very sweet & helpful. She always followed up with me when she said she would & was very patient with my mother's questions. She let us pack her office with decorations a few days beforehand which was immensely helpful! She even let my dogs in before the ceremony to take photos with us beforehand which meant the world to me! Was a great experience; very happy with my choice; a little pricey but it was perfect!

Cynthia was our first contact, but she left before most of the serious planning started. Jessica is in charge now, and she was wonderful to work with. The venue itself is beautiful and set on a golf course. First, I have to point out that neither my wife nor I is an avid golfer, and we were a bit hesitant at having our reception at a golf course. However, when we saw the venue we both quickly changed our minds. It is a beautiful place and was a perfect setting for our November wedding. Through the whole process of getting things set up went very smoothly thanks in large part to Jessica's help and her constant willingness to meet with us. On the night of our reception itself, everything was just as we had envisioned it. Really, one cannot ask for more than that. The months of planning came together perfectly at ThunderHawk, everyone had a great time and loved the place! (Also, my wife and I both thought the price was very reasonable relative to other places we had considered: they do handle the food too through food for thought which we were both very pleased with)

This venue was very adaptive to our needs and requests - very professional. Carley was AMAZING in helping keep everyone connected and on task. I would absolutely recommend this venue to friends
