We hired Those Guys Band for our wedding, and they delivered an amazing performance!!! From our first conversation, their professionalism, energy, and genuine passion for music gave us complete confidence. They took the time to understand our vision and made sure every detail was personalized to create the perfect atmosphere for our big day. On the wedding day, there was so much going on we were totally overwhelmed. Mike sent us a text just to reassure us he and the band were going to be arriving early to set up and introduce themselves to the banquet staff. At the reception, before our wedding party was introduced Mike came out and gave us the rundown on what to expect and made sure he had all of our names right and pronounced correctly. Let me tell you, my last name is not an easy one, but he pronounced it flawlessly. What really stood out was how they read the room and adjusted the vibe accordingly. We requested an abbreviated song for the father daughter dance as the father of the bride has some mobility issues and we were afraid he wouldn't be able to dance the entirety of the song. Well he cast his cane aside and was dancing with the fervor of a teenager. Mike and the band quickly assessed the scene and switched it up playing the full length version of the song and helped create one of the most magical moments of our wedding. Friends and family still mention it to us when we talk about the wedding. If we cut the song short as requested no doubt we would have regretted that decision, thankfully Mike and the band were completely on top of it all. Those Guys Band brought the energy and magic. From the first song to the last, they had everyone—young and old—out on the dance floor! Their setlist was spot-on and they even learned a couple of our favorite songs, which made the night feel extra special. It was incredible to see our guests having such a great time, and so many people told us afterward how much they loved the live music. During their break, Mike took the time to check in with us, making sure we were happy and even offering to refill our drinks, which we greatly appreciated. Mike and the band truly made us feel cared for and went above and beyond with their exceptional service. If you want your wedding to be a non-stop celebration, we can’t recommend them highly enough. Those Guys were our favorite vendor to work with for our wedding. The communication was always there and they made us feel like they had everything covered. Our guests LOVED the band and danced all night long, seriously, the dance floor was never empty. They played a great mix of music for everyone. We highly recommend choosing them for your wedding!

Mike and Those Guys were an absolute joy to work with. They take their jobs very seriously, but also know that it's about having fun and doing whatever it takes to make your event perfect. They saved the day on our wedding and went above and beyond simply playing music and providing entertainment. Mike helped sort out some issues with our wedding day setup and was an excellent liaison between the Maitre d and the rest of the vendors/staff. We cannot say enough about their support for us, and even if we weren't having a wedding we would want to be friends with Those Guys. Awesome job, 11 out of 10!!

We used Those Guys for our wedding this past weekend and are so glad that we did! Everything from communication leading up to the wedding, the mic/sound equipment for our officiant, the dance floor lighting and of course the music was perfect. As soon as the band started playing the dance floor was full and stayed full until the wedding was over. Those Guys played the perfect songs to keep the partying going! All of our friends and family can't stop talking about our amazing wedding band!!! I can not say enough great things about this bands talent and professionalism. Thank you to Mike and Those Guys!!

Working with Those Guys and Mike was incredible, and the music was absolutely perfect and AWESOME. The dance floor was packed every second they were playing, and Mike was so easy to work with and plan with beforehand. We had them add an extra band member for the night which made it a perfect combo to play for our 115-person wedding.

Those Guys also provided our ceremony music, which was special and perfect.

All in all, I can't recommend them enough. And I honestly feel like they were a steal for their price!!!

Those Guys played our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception for our 7/21/18 wedding, and we are so thrilled and grateful to have worked with them! My husband and I were brainstorming other parties that we could plan--just so we'd have the opportunity to hire them again. Mike was responsive and professional from the word go, bending over backwards to create a timeline and plan of action that was exactly what we imagined for our special day. And Mike emceed the whole evening, too! This band really is the complete package. We especially appreciated the "wedding questionnaire" that Mike asked us to complete in advance of our day, which covered every last detail--down to the pronunciation of our bridal parties' names! Talk about being thorough. We could've skipped hiring a wedding coordinator; Mike and the band made our day so, so perfect.

They are also incredibly skilled and versatile musicians. We really wanted classical guitar for our ceremony and then jazz for our cocktail hour--Those Guys handled everything and sounded amazing. We had a classical guitar for our ceremony, a four-piece jazz combo for our cocktails, and then a four-piece band for our reception (guitar, keys, bass, drums)--and Mike did vocals with backup vocals from the bass player. Both my husband and I have music backgrounds and were incredibly impressed at how tight the ensemble was, and how seamlessly their setlist flowed from one number to the next. They created the perfect combination of crowd pleasing oldies, dance numbers with guest involvement, and more. Our guests were coming up to us throughout the evening raving about how wonderful they were. We even heard compliments about the DJed setlist the band played during dinner! GREAT covers/arrangements, consummate musicians, excellent humans, amazing amazing amazing.

Hire. This. Band. It will be the best decision you make for your wedding, short of choosing your spouse. Thanks, Those Guys!!

Those Guys played for our wedding on 5/27/18 and we cannot say enough great things about this band! I’ll be honest, initially we were hesitant about having a live band but at the urging of my mom I spoke to Mike and was immediately sold. From the very first time we spoke up until the wedding, Mike made everything easy and stress-free. Mike and the band handle everything entertainment related, we had acoustic guitar during our cocktail hour and a 5-piece band for the reception. When it came to the dancing part of the night, they knew just how to get everyone up and moving! They play a huge variety of music and kept people up and dancing the whole time! My mom and Mike had schemed to have her join them for a song during the reception, which was a huge but wonderful surprise! People are still commenting on how talented and fun the band was…and it’s been over a month! My husband has even mentioned on numerous occasions how much he enjoyed them (big deal coming from that guy ). Mike was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process and working out the details, I appreciated his patience and guidance since I was a bit of an absentee bride due to being out of state for school. Mike and Those Guys, thank you SO MUCH for helping make our wedding such an amazing and memorable night!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this band!

"Those Guys" played at our daughter's wedding in Thompson, CT at The Lord Thompson Manor. I cannot say enough about how awesome they were to work with. They are great musicians who obviously enjoy entertaining. They were professional, fun and kept the guests up and dancing the entire night. Would highly recommend them for any event where live music, dancing and a great time are the order of the day

Those Guys band played for the dancing section (2-3 hours) of our wedding at the Mohonk Mountain House Memorial Day weekend. They were wonderful and we wholeheartedly recommend them. We wanted to have a jazz band play the dinner portion but Those Guys got all the guests on the dance floor after dinner.

We had the dinner at the Pavilion, which is an open-air arena with sound restrictions (no amplification, no percussion). These restrictions were a challenge to our vision for a dance-the-night away party. Mike Marra, the leader singer and manager, was very helpful in helping brainstorm creative solutions. Those Guys had played in sound-restricted areas and had a number of workarounds, including brushes instead of sticks for drums and different types of percussion; they also had acoustic options. Mike was very knowledgeable about decibel levels and took time to carefully walk through all the options. Mike ended up speaking with the Mohonk wedding department directly and came up with the solution of using brushes on the drums.

Mike was also incredibly responsive. I think he called me within five minutes of my request for information on Gigmasters! He’s easy to contact through text, and was willing to talk on the weekends and after hours. He’s professional, a problem solver and a very hard worker.

The party itself was very fun. The guests were supposed to be finished eating by 8:30, when the band was supposed to start. But they were still eating so the band put on some light Sinatra until it was dance time. The band handled the crowd very well and kept us dancing all night long with a fun mix of golden oldies and contemporary pop. Mike kept the crowd revved up and we had a very fun night.

We had a wonderful experience with Those Guys band and wholeheartedly recommend them.
