Jake and Winnie Gros are a the owners of Thompson Ridge View Farm. With the help of their children and daughter-in-law, their farm transitioned from a dairy farm into the beautiful wedding and events space that it is today. They continue to support and assist with new ideas, construction projects and the inner working of the business. Jake can frequently be found working around the property and is always interested in sparking up a conversation. Winnie handles all of the bookeeping, while also keeping their five - soon to be six - grandchildren happy and well-fed when they come over for visit. Jake and Winnie are the glue that holds the Gros family together and are excited to have the opportunity to share their farm - in a new capactiy - with others!

Daryl’s dream was to get married on his family's farm, so when he proposed to Carolyn in the spring of 2021, they set out together to make it a reality. After considering their options, they quickly decided the largest barn - with a beautiful trussed roof – would be the perfect location for their reception. There was much to be done to prepare for their big day, so they began planning immediately and dove right in. After many months of incredibly hard work, the barn was transformed into the unique venue it is today! Daryl, Jake (Daryl's father), and Kevin (Daryl's brother) worked tirelessly to get the barn itself updated and ready, while Carolyn worked – also tirelessly - on the finer details, which would ultimately turn the barn into a warm and inviting space for their many guests. This powerhouse couple can frequently be found somewhere on the farm - making improvements - and are excited to be sharing their vision with other couples and the community!

After graduating from The State University of New York at Oneonta with a bachelor's degree in food service and restaurant management, Janelle began working for a well-known wedding group in the Hudson Valley, where she gained years of invaluable experience. In 2020, Janelle made the tough decision - as a new mom amid the pandemic - to begin a position that allowed her to work from home. Although leaving a job she was passionate about was not easy, she knew it would not be the end of her career in the wedding industry and, thankfully, it wasn't.

With her background in working with couples, event planning and coordination, she is a true asset to Thompson Ridge View Farm. When speaking with her, you will see she has a real love for what she does and pays attention to the fine details that make dream weddings a wonderful reality. She is interested in getting to know clients and making sure they have the best experience possible.
