This Insane Idea…. WOW!!!! I’m sitting here with an opportunity to write something about a Photography Company I never thought would be more than amazing and more than the “above and beyond” standard. Prior to booking this company and Mark for our wedding. We had some conversations leading up to our day that were so joyous and positive assuring us that everything will workout perfectly. Assisting us with our wedding day timeline, and what options would work for us and what we wanted to accomplish on our wonderful day. To fast forward to our wedding day, my wife was getting ready for a few hours prior to me and my groomsmen. When I arrived at our meeting spot, I walked into my in-laws residence and I immediately saw a bright smile on Marks face and a warm welcome as he knew I was so happy for this moment. He gave me a brief rundown on how things would go, and right away got to work snapping photos left and right, moving me and my guys to great lighting locations for the perfect shot. Not to mention, while doing this as professional as possible. He made himself part of my family. Joking and fitting right in with everyone on site from my grandmother to my 1 year old niece who was crying just like a 1 year old should. Shortly after, Mark and Josh (videographer) captured everything we needed to prior to our ceremony. And let’s not leave out the amazing, and I mean AMAZING chance to partake in a first look. Some may not know what this opportunity is, and I really had only seen it once prior to actually doing it. However, as I was standing facing away from my soon to be wife, Mark was asking me questions about our relationship which made this moment so much more special. As you’re thinking about what your beautiful wife is going to look like when you turn around Mark is reminding you about some very key moments when you first met your wife. At the reception, Mark continued his amazing work. Walking around, laughing and smiling with family and friends and creating a memory I’ll never forever. To this day, and upon receiving my photographs I can tell you that these photos are impeccable, stunning and all around amazing. My family and friends have asked about who my photographer was, his contagious joy and his fantastic photography skills. Mark answers questions via text and email quickly and efficiently and sticks to what matters most, great service and excellent work ethic. In conclusion, my wife and I have gained a new friend. Someone we will most certainly go out to dinner with and keep in touch. And I can assure you, that Mark is my go to photographer for my families future needs. We are about a month away from our wedding day and we cannot stop talking about how magical it all was! Mark, Brittany, and Tom were a dream to work with and were a big part in the day running smoothly. About a year prior to the wedding, we had our engagement session done by Mark and he makes you feel so at ease, especially since we had never had professional pictures taken of us like this. His documentary-style photography was exactly what we had been looking for. Throughout our year-long wedding planning process, this team was very professional, organized, and experienced. When it came to our wedding day, This Insane Idea was not even on our list of worries. They made sure we were comfortable and informed every step of the way. They were also very responsive. We had to make a game time decision to deal with potential spring showers and Brittany responded right away to help us decide on how to shift gears. On the day of, it was really important to us that we had some photographs of us outside and they worked with the small pockets of no rain to sneak us outside. They also had the experience to know how to expertly pivot to us taking photographs primarily inside and still capturing the sweet moments. They are first and foremost a photography company, but they have a deep knowledge of the wedding industry and took on roles outside of just photographing our day. They were not just our photographers, they were our sounding boards, our cheerleaders, our family wranglers. We cannot recommend them enough!

There are so so so many things I could say but these people are truly the best. They are just excited for you as you are. They care about every single person they work with. I have not even seen my pictures yet and honestly i know they are gonna be absolutely perfect. But I think the way you feel so cared about from your photographers/videographers is truly amazing. We first met Mark when he shot our engagement photos, and he immediately put us at ease. While taking our photos, we felt incredibly comfortable with his directions, and we had fun throughout the entire process. When we received our engagement photos, we loved them. Mark not only made my wife look beautiful, but he also captured the scenic location around us.

One year later, Mark and Tom photographed our wedding. Once again, we had a great time with Mark and Tom. Our bridal parties had fun with both guys, and their direction made it easy to take photos before our wedding. Mark kept us on schedule, but we never felt rushed or frantic as we took photos with our friends and family. My wife and I were particularly happy with the location of our first look. Despite the rain, Mark and his team set up the location perfectly, and it was a special moment that we’ll never forget.

During our ceremony, Mark and Tom flawlessly captured the look we desired. Their photos were intimate without being intrusive. My wife and I were able to enjoy the moment, and we felt confident that their team would preserve anything we missed. We particularly loved how Mark shot our first look of our reception room and our cake-cutting. Again, Mark took photos in a way that captured the elegance of our decor. Our cake-cutting photos were particularly beautiful, and now we have photos that remind us of the perfection of that private moment.

Once the party got started, Mark and Tom were on the dance floor the entire time with our guests, and our band and DJ. Their photos let us see how much our guests enjoyed our wedding and confirmed our decision to hire This Insane Idea Photography. If you hire Mark and Tom, know that you’re getting two professionals who not only will perfectly photograph your wedding, but do it in a way that allows you to thoroughly enjoy your special day.

Mark is beyond talented! We won a giveaway that he did for a complimentary engagement photo shoot and instantly felt so comfortable. He doesn’t stage his pictures, he captures true moments. Once we got our pictures back we fell in LOVE with the way all of them looked. After reaching out to many other photographers we found mark and his team fit us best in what we were looking for, price wise & honestly how comfortable we felt at our engagement shoot. We felt like we have known him forever when in reality we just met him. We are beyond excited to have him shoot our wedding in May 2025!

We weren’t expecting to get close to our photographers, but they are simply great people and we felt like friends by the end of the day. The photos are gorgeous, candid, and true to life. We keep reviewing them to relive our wedding from a million perspectives we didn’t get to see on the day of. It’s been a joy to zoom in on the photos and appreciate the details of the day, and the expressions on our guests' faces. We will treasure these photos and the experience forever. We cannot say enough about how wonderful Mark and his team were before, during, and after our wedding. Mark (and Tom!) are lovely, professional, funny, creative, and talented photographers- our goal was to have natural moments and emotions captured throughout our day and every time we look at the photos we still have our breath taken away as they did just that. Mark & Tom were AMAZING !!! From the beginning when I found Mark he reached out to me and we did a tentative timeline. Whatever questions I had before the big day he was there and responded quickly. The day of the wedding as soon as they arrived they got to work. We got our pictures back super fast and I AM IN LOVE !!! They captured the whole day perfectly exactly how I wanted them to. From getting ready to first looks, ceremony, reception, bridal portraits they did an amazing job. There was so many surprises that I wanted captured throughout the day and they caught them all.
