The Woman’s Club of Hollywood is a ballroom wedding venue with a rich history, located in Los Angeles, California. Once known as the “Heart of Hollywood,” this club was founded in 1905 and was founded by women who created the Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood Studio Club, and a wing of the Hollywood Hospital. The building has hosted some of history’s most-loved performers, and radiates a sense of Old Hollywood charm that is sure to make your celebration memorable.
Facilities and Capacity
The Woman’s Club of Hollywood offers a number of beautiful, historic event spaces that are ideal for weddings and other special events. The venue can host both large and small events, and accommodates up to 300 guests. The beautiful Spanish-style building features unique vintage details such as original hardwood floors, a stage, and elegantly draped curtains adorning the main event space. The Auditorium features 2,820 square feet of event space and a full stage, backstage area, and scene dock. The Lounge has a cozy and intimate ambiance, complete with antique furniture and rugs, that is perfect for enjoying cocktail hour or enjoying a fun night of dancing. The Salon is a charming 1,200-square-foot room with two glass French doors and a 1940’s box office ticket booth, as well as three double doors that lead to the main entrance. The venue also features a large stylish foyer, ladies’ powder room, projection booth with a bird’s-eye-view of the auditorium, and an upstairs dressing room for getting ready. The venue bridal suite features ethereal lighting as well as antique chairs and tables. The Women’s Club of Hollywood also features a large professional kitchen, complete with a six-burner stove, grill, convection-oven, freezer, large refrigerator, and dishwasher, as well as ample prep space for your outside catering company. This spacious property is a perfect location for wedding ceremonies and receptions, as well as dances, bar and bat mitzvahs, and other special events.

History
The Women’s Club of Hollywood has been a part of Hollywood history for over 100 years. The club was founded in 1905 in order to build the first Hollywood Public Library. The club’s early years featured a variety of famous performers, including Charlie Chaplin and Mary Pickford. Chaplin’s piano remains on the stage to this day. The club has also hosted Hollywood luminaries such as Gloria Swanson, Joan Crawford, Gary Cooper, and more.
