The Snapper Inn Waterfront Restaurant offers Long Island's most unique indoor and outdoor wedding venue options.

Located on the scenic Connetquot River in Oakdale, the large expansive lawn and beautifully maintained property lends itself to a resort style feel as soon as you enter the grounds. Sunsets on the river create the perfect backdrop as boats coast by while guests sip champagne relaxing and taking in the spectacular ambiance.

Inside you will be surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the picturesque Connetquot River. The rustic undertone, candlelight and beautiful chandeliers create the perfect setting for your dream wedding year round.

Our newly renovated open air waterside pavilion speaks for itself with its one-of-a-kind design. The breathtaking views of the Connetquot River, and lush lawn area just steps from the river with beautifully maintained gardens creates a magical retreat your guests will rave about.

The Snapper Inn hosts just one wedding at a time making sure you and your guests will receive the ultimate service by your personal wedding coordinator and professionally trained staff. Your wedding coordinator will be working with you through the entire planning process, attending to every detail to ensure your wedding day is the fairytale you have dreamed of. They will be by your side throughout your wedding day as well.

Amazing experience

We are still in the beginning stages of planning our wedding including choosing a venue, we met with Josh to discuss possible options at Snapper Inn and the service was incredible. Josh was so personable and clearly very knowledgeable in wedding planning. We stayed for a few drinks and ordered some items off their menu which exceeded our expectations. There is a reason this hidden gem is still open after decades in business, their food, drinks and service are impeccable. This is my first review on a venue because I typically only see reviews from couples after their wedding but I do feel it is necessary to any future brides/grooms in search for a venue to not over look Snapper Inn.

Amazing venue!

After looking at a number of venues with nothing checking off all boxes on our “must have” list, Matt suggested The Snapper Inn. Communication from the start was excellent! Matt and I were quickly able to make an appointment to come view the restaurant/grounds. Our first meeting with Josh went perfectly. He answered all of our questions prior to asking them, and had a plan a,b,c, and d should we have had inclement weather the day of our wedding. We knew at that meeting that was where we were going to get married. Customer service was beyond excellent throughout the year and a half planning process. All emails and phone calls were answered quickly and thoroughly either by Josh or Kerry. Any requests we had for that day were done perfectly! The grounds of The Snapper Inn are beautiful. We had our ceremony overlooking the water, cocktail hour at the outside bar/dock, and our reception in the beautiful pavilion. Everything was set up so elegantly! The day of our wedding all staff was excellent and attentive. Josh made sure no guests visiting the restaurant for dinner that evening walked outside during our ceremony/cocktail hour. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was! Matt and I recently went back for dinner and were remembered by the staff. I would highly recommend The Snapper Inn for a wedding and any other event needed! We are so thrilled with our choice to use them and can not wait to celebrate with future events there!

Small intimate wedding

There aren’t enough words to thank the staff at The Snapper Inn. Josh, Kerri and the waitstaff were incredible on our special day. The accommodations and special touches they provided were very special to my husband and I. From the set up to ceremony to intimate dinner we had, all of our dreams came true. Thank you to everyone at The Snapper Inn for making our special day magical.

There’s not enough words to say how amazing and perfect and fun and beautiful my wedding was !! It was everything I dreamed it would be. Josh & Kerry we’re beyond amazing and helpful throughout my whole planning and I can’t thank them enough for making our day absolutely perfect ! All my guests loved the food and said the service was awesome !! Not one complaint ! I recommend the snapper inn all the way!!

We can not seem to stop thinking about how incredible our wedding day was at the Snapper Inn! Both Kerry and Josh worked so hard to give us the perfect wedding and everything came together even better than we ever could imagine. So many of our guests came up to myself, husband and parents saying it was THE BEST wedding they had ever gone to! The food as always is top notch and you can't beat the spectacular views to go along with that meal. If you are looking for a venue that's NOTHING like your typical LI cookie cutter wedding then please consider The Snapper Inn. It was the last venue we saw when deciding what spot was right for us and canceled on 3 other places after meeting with Kerry. Once you see the views of the river by the cocktail hour tent and how amazing inside the Pavilion is for yourselves, I know you will fall in love with it just like my husband Steve and I did right away.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this place. It was incredible. I had the main room and it was spectacular. The view was amazing, my guests are still raving about the food, the service was top notch. It was the best day ever.

We loved our venue so much! Lori was amazing from beginning to end. Our guests still talk about the beautiful room and great food after almost 10 months. We are so thankful to the amazing staff at Snapper Inn and are grateful to have had Lori with us every step of the way!

The Snapper Inn was a perfect fit for my wedding venue. I couldn't have been more happy with The Snapper Inn from start to finish. From the minute my husband and I walked into to meet with the wedding coordinator at The Snapper Inn I felt important. The friendliest and professionalism of the staff was more than I could have asked for. Although my heart was set on The Pavilion for my reception, the weather was not in my favor, The Snapper Inn was able to move my reception inside without a hiccup. They were able to put my outside vision inside seamlessly. And if that wasn't enough anxiety a family emergency forced a new wedding coordinator to be assigned to me and Paul stepped in with full confidence. Paul and the rest of the Snapper Inn were beyond professional, friendly, and accommodating. The food was amazing and still talked about by friends and family. I wouldn't have changed my wedding day for the world, tropical storm and all!

We decided to have a small ceremony and a cocktail party reception for our wedding. From the beginning, Lori (the wedding coordinator) made us feel like we were having a million dollar wedding. She took in to account all our wants/needs. She was great offering suggestions. She was professional and very easy to get in touch with. On the day of our wedding, everything went on without a glitch. She had 2 servers assisting with our reception (Jimmy and Cassie) they were awesome. We were never without a drink and they made sure we were happy and our needs were met. The Snapper Inn is a great location on the water and the staff is awesome. They made our small wedding a day we will never forget!

Our amazing Wedding was at the Snapper Inn in Oakdale. I really want to review a couple of my vendors as a THANK YOU for giving us the greatest wedding EVER!!

The Snapper Inn was great. Lori Wentz was our coordinator at the Snapper and she was wonderful. Food was great, the view from the Pavillion was spectacular & the Bartenders poured heavy :-)

One of my guests favorites was the raw bar with the little neck clams, oysters and shrimp. OUTSTANDING! We did cocktail out on the grass by the dock. We had Josh from Absolute Entertainment on guitar for cocktail hour out on the grass...the guests were chilling and enjoying the amazing views! Another big hit was the dessert stations with different cakes/pies instead of a wedding cake...loved it!!

Lori did an great job working within our budget to create a menu that worked and was delicious. I repeat, the Bartenders were GREAT!!

My husband & I had a DJ & Band package w/ The Strecker Band & the Snapper Inn's DJ, Absolute Entertainment. We couldn't be more thrilled with both groups. The one thing we both wanted was a great party...light on the usual wedding formalities and heavy on the fun.

Absolute Entertainment provided beautiful uplighting that completely transformed the Pavillion from a simple room with with white ceilings to this glowing, pulsing dance hall! We also had this crazy photo booth called a Superbooth. It was a HUGE hit!

We cant say thanks enough to Lori & the Snapper Inn staff for a perfect day!
