How do you sum up such a positive, fulfilling, and complete experience?

Here’s a shot! Vishnu visited us in Anchorage Alaska the Summer of 2019. Immediately, dense smoke dimmed the midnight sun and created a moody setting. Vishnu took advantage of each opportunity and was professional and considerate of each location we visited. Between mosquitos and glacier gusts we were provided obstacles for our favorite shots. Vishnu worked effectively and efficiently ensuring our shots were captured in the right light. My overall experience was stellar and I would absolutely recommend anyone else for the Vishnu/Megan photography experience.

P.S. They also did our maternity photos last fall after my very pregnant fiancé and I moved to Oregon.

Where do I even begin? Megan + Vishnu from Adventure Story Films are absolutely amazing. Do not hesitate at all to hire them — we can say without a doubt it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

When it came to choosing our videographer, both my husband and I decided to invest our wedding budget here, and to choose the best. We personally love photography ourselves, so we were *picky* about who would document our wedding and their craft. I wish I could say it’s an over-exaggeration, but I looked at close to 100 videographers to try to choose who we would hire.

That was until our wedding planner told us her top recommendation was Adventure Story Films. When we saw their work, we immediately knew they would be our top choice. Their work is elevated and on a different level from a lot of wedding videography I’ve seen (which often feels very formulaic and cookie cutter). Instead, Megan + Vishnu take the time to know you as a couple, and truly create a CINEMATIC film that tells the story of your special day. Each one of their films has top-notch cinematography, is tailored uniquely to the couple and their vibe, and most importantly, invokes the emotion and narrative of the moment.

While some may think photos can substitute videos, don’t be those people!! We are *infinitely* happy in our choice to hire a videographer, and Adventure Story Films at that. Video tells stories & invokes emotions that photos can’t do alone. And Megan & Vishnu are so, so good at what they do. When we first saw the email that our film was ready, I had such high expectations, that I was worried that my expectations would be unfair. But even with my high hopes, our film that Megan + Vishnu created completely blew me away. My husband laughed as I was in absolute tears watching it. It captured all our emotions, details, moments (some I hadn’t even noticed!) of the day. We will truly treasure it forever.

On top of their work, Megan + Vishnu are such nice and lovely people. Both my husband & I are quite camera shy, but being around them, we were laughing throughout the day and they both made our wedding day so comfortable. I love the fact that they’re a husband + wife duo; it’s evident their love for one another, their communication, and how that translates to the warmth they exude and how well they do what they do. We can't say enough how wonderful and easy it was to work with Megan of Adventure Stories. We were looking for a photographer who could tell a story through our photos and Megan went above and beyond to tell our story. We really wanted photos taken in a more natural setting than our venue provided, and Megan not only was flexible enough to travel to a different site for photos, but she also called the Grotto ahead of time to make sure we could have photos taken onsite. Megan captured the magic and joy of our day; from the touching moments while we were getting ready to the first look at the Grotto, to the dramatic ambience of our venue, to the sweet moments of our ceremony to the fun and joyous photos from our reception.  Megan shared a perspective of our wedding that we didn't see, and it has been wonderful looking at the photos over and over again.  Each time we look at them, we notice something new, see friends sharing hugs and family members sharing stories.  We wanted the photos of our wedding to tell a story of two families and their friends coming together to start a new journey and Megan captured our story and our beginning beautifully.  We highly recommend Megan to photograph your wedding.

Megan and Vishnu are not only two of the kindest people but two of the most genuinely talented people we had the pleasure of working with for our wedding! We got married July 2 and Megan and Vishnu made the planning process seamless - making sure we were prepared and excited for our wedding and that it was all easy and fun the day of! Megan was booked the day of our wedding so we had the pleasure of working with Vishnu and his sister Dana and they felt like wedding guests - they were so great to have there on the day of and helped with everything (even helped pin my hair back when it was falling a bit after photos!). We so thoroughly enjoyed working with them and were even more excited when we saw our photo album. It's one thing to see beautiful wedding photos of complete strangers on a website when you are looking for a photographer and videographer for your wedding. It's another thing when you see those photos in the style you came to love and you and all of the people you love most are the subject of them! My husband and I have looked at our pictures probably 10,000 times since we received them last week and are absolutely giddy every time as we get to relive all of the best parts of our best day ever! We cannot wait to see the magic Vishnu and Megan will work with the video after seeing the photos that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you thank you thank you to Megan, Vishnu and Dana - y'all are all rockstars and we couldn't be happier that we chose to work with y'all - you made our wedding day a dream and it's been equally as special reliving it through your incredible photos! If we could give 10 stars to Megan and Vishnu we would! From our first zoom meeting to the end of the reception, they were warm and professional and captured our big day wonderfully! The Mr. and I have never had proper couples photos done, and it was important to us and our families that we had the classic "formal" portraits along with candid moments. We chose both photo and video, and they were almost like flies on the wall for the entire day! Megan and Vishnu provide wonderful correspondence throughout the planning process, and were quick to answer my many, many questions :o) I am SO grateful Megan convinced us to read our vows to just each other; that moment beautifully summarized everything leading up to our day. Our venue was not very adventurous at all (a cute lil' rustic farm in the Puget Sound area), but their atmospheric and cinematic approach made it look SO much more dramatic! They take full advantage of natural light, and their attention to detail deserves a standing ovation. Also, their pups tag along and they are cute as hell.

Megan and Vishnu are absolutely lovely humans. They are super talented photographers and are perfect with portraits, scenery, poses, golden hour, outdoors, indoors, action shots, you name it. They did our engagement photos, photos for our intimate wedding ceremony, and photos for our big party and reception. We developed a good relationship with them over those three years and they were always easy to communicate with and very responsive. We trusted them to take care of our photos and we never had to worry or doubt for a second. All of our photos came out amazing and will hold a special place in our hearts forever. I highly recommend them to anybody - they will travel anywhere as long as they're available!

Megan and Vishnu are gems in the rough, chaotic world of wedding planning. These guys will blow up soon and will be hard to book so don't wait and snag them while you can! Just speaking with them took away part of the stress of wedding planning. Megan took our photos and was super engaging and knew how to wrangle the unruly crowd of friends and family to get good photos. She also took meticulous notes of shots we wanted, and found opportunities to take photos we didn't know we wanted!

From the start, we were looking for a photographer that could work with our budget and knew how to navigate outdoor lighting. After we found these photographers, we could see their style, quality, aesthetic, expertise in outdoor photos, and we just knew the photos would turn out beautiful. After reaching out to this couple, they were great at communicating with us ahead of time and asking all the necessary questions.... we knew we could trust them with our day!
Vishnu was a great day of photographer, he was quick to run and capture all the authentic moments! He was so genuine, personable, friendly, we easily felt comfortable with him! In fact, everyone was talking about how much they loved our awesome photographer and their great conversations. Vishnu is a friend to everyone!
Our wedding was in the first week of August, so we were expecting for it to be super sunny, but it ended up being dark & it rained. Honestly the lighting and majestic rain ended up being in our favor! We also love how he captured the landscape, we were in awe when we received our photos! Overall, the photos really did show the story of our day and we love that we can relive those moments, could not be happier. We could not have asked for a better photographer and outcome!!
