The Purple Orchid Resort and Spa is a boutique hotel wedding venue located in Livermore, California. This venue is nestled in the heart of Livermore Valley wine country, which serves as a romantic backdrop to celebrate your love story. Featuring an olive grove, lush gardens, and a soothing day spa, this destination is ideal for elegant, dreamy events. The town is located just an hour from San Francisco, making it easily accessible while removed from the fast pace of the city.
Facilities and Capacity
This venue has several options for indoor and outdoor events. The Rose Garden provides a fairytale setting for ceremonies. Couples can recite their vows surrounded by vibrant blooming roses with the olive grove and rolling hills beyond. The 24 acres of olive trees lend a Mediterranean air to the property, offering a breathtaking setting for wedding photos. This space accommodates up to 250 guests. Cocktail hour is often held on the patio beside the waterfall and pool, where guests can soak in the Northern California sun. The Olive Branch Event Center houses indoor celebrations and can seat up to 150.
Services Offered
The Purple Orchid Resort and Spa is dedicated to fulfilling couples’ wedding visions. They offer the services of an on-site event coordinator, who can assist in transforming the space. They can accommodate a wide spectrum of weddings and related events, from an intimate elopement to a grand occasion spanning multiple days. Couples can hold their engagement parties, showers, rehearsal dinners, and farewell brunches here. There are all-inclusive packages available that cover catering and bar services as well as setup and cleanup of the event. Their spa features all of the treatments couples need to feel pampered and relaxed before the big day.
Accommodation
The resort has 10 individually decorated guest rooms and suites couples and their loved ones can avail of. They offer weekend packages for the newlyweds and wedding party, providing a stay in luxury and comfort for the event weekend. Many suites feature large bathtubs and cozy hearths for the ultimate indulgence. Overnight guests of the hotel receive complimentary breakfast and evening reception with local wine and olive oil tastings.

Gorgeous venue, Accommodating and Kind Owners - Simply the best
Once the wedding weekend finally came, no detail was left unanswered as our family and friends arrive. The rooms are impeccable and comfortable, the property is gorgeous, and happy hour each day was lovely.
The staff hired for the events were friendly, kind, and organized. Our wedding went off without a hitch, and Derek Rhiannon, Taylor, and the catering staff were simply incredible.
The venue itself is also stunning, and between cocktail hour at the pool, and dinner in the olive orchard, it was a perfect setting for our perfect day.
THANK YOU, Derek, Rhiannon, and the Purple Orchid Staff for hosting us for a whole week, and giving us the best memories to look back on. We can't wait to spend our anniversaries here!!
