From the very beginning the staff was very accommodating and helpful. We felt like they really cared that the day was perfect for us. All of our guests raved about the uniqueness of the venue, the service and the food. We had both the ceremony and reception at the Point and Noreen was SO helpful in figuring out how to make it all work. We decided on a cocktail reception with passed hors d' oeuvres to start with and then stations with salad, a mashed potato bar and roast turkey sandwiches. It worked out great and the food was delicious! The Point is a beautiful venue to begin with, but we were allowed to bring in our own special touches that made the space so personal. I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding day and we are so grateful to the Lattimores and the staff for making it amazing.Sent on 04/03/2014

When we were planning our wedding, the Springside Inn was immediately a consideration for its festive charm and the role that it's beautifully played throughout the years in my family's celebrations. We were beyond thrilled to be introduced to the Point at Sand Beach as one of the distinctive venues within its purview.Sent on 03/24/2014
Noreen suggested we host the jop-officiated ceremony at the Point, as the lovable Central New York weather is famously unpredictable in October. We may have had a fabulous ceremony on the Springside Inn lawn (always an option for summer!) or more likely, we would have had a muddy and/or freezing disaster on our hands once Oct. 7 rolled around. Murphy's Law being what it is, we told her we'd love to check it out.
Gorgeous doesn't suffice to describe the elegance and light in this space. If I hadn't had decided on classic cocktails, dinner and dancing in the historic Springside Inn ballroom where my parents had danced almost exactly 40 years prior, I would've moved the whole event here.
Although it overlooks a relatively well-traveled roundabout, the Point seems secluded and quiet. The light filters between the leaves of surrounding trees through jewel-toned glass panes onto warm hardwood floors inside, it is tranquil, but joyful effect. It's perfect for a wedding.
But, she explained that often couples decide to host the dinner there and I can see why! It's such a versatile building and useful layout! This old chapel lends itself wonderfully to an event space. I strongly encourage you to go and let your imagination run wild.
The entire staff was so helpful and encouraging. The entire experience was a smashing success. I am still receiving (some repeat) compliments on the wedding almost two years later. Thank you to the Lattimores and everyone else involved for their hard work to make everything seem effortless!

Sean and Noreen did a wonderful job planning and executing our wedding at The Point at Sand Beach. Planning an out-of-state wedding wasn't easy, but their attention to detail, flexibility, and professionalism made us feel at ease!Sent on 07/19/2015
The Point was an ideal location for our 100 person wedding ceremony and reception. Sean and Noreen are very kind and personable, exuding the feel of a well-run family business. Sean and Noreen do everything they can to make sure their events flow smoothly, and they bend over backwards to incorporate the details that are important to you.
We were very pleased by the full-service aspect of The Point, while still having unlimited opportunities to customize our event. The Springside staff generously decorated the hall with many candles that we provided. We were even able to view the decorated space prior to the event, and it looked beautiful! We had a terrific tasting for our dinner menu that accommodated all of our requests, including allergy restrictions for certain guests. At the wedding, meals were served without delay, and our guests loved the food! Having a full kitchen at The Point eliminated any catering concerns, as meals were fired and finished on-site.
Please be advised, while the venue has AC, it can get hot from people dancing and opening the main doors. We needed to open doors and windows to help cool the room. Also, the turnaround area in front of The Point is freshly paved, but keep in mind that the hill up to The Point is steep and rocky for guests with mobility issues. Lastly, the Springside Inn hosts many events, and patience is required with all email communications. While we did not always receive an immediate response due to their busy schedules, we found that our questions were always noted and addressed in person, and we were extremely happy with the execution of our event.
We cannot recommend The Point enough for small weddings. Thanks to the entire staff for making our wedding truly memorable!
