I love the woman at the Palms Spa! I was able to rent the place for a couple of hours to have a party for my bridesmaids. They helped set up the food for me and made everyone feel comfortable. They are wonderful at all their services. I love my pedi's there and Lisa is amazing at eyebrows! They even won over my mom who had her first pedi there! :)

I planned much of my wedding from Canada and chose The Palms after reviewing various nail salon websites. What a find! Half of the fun is in the atmosphere -- nearly every decorative item in the shop features a palm tree, monkey, pineapple, coconut, hula dancer, tiki torch or similar tropical touch. The shop is tiny but on the rainy day my maid of honour and I visited, that only enhanced the coziness of the atmosphere. The focal point of the shop is a nail bar which was at pretty much full capacity during our visit. The freely flowing conversation among the staff and customers made the appointment as much a social event as a pre-wedding necessity.
I had acrylic nail tips applied and topped off with a French manicure and rhinestone accents, while my maid of honour had a manicure and waxing services. This was my first fake-nail experience so I don't have anything to compare it with, but I was extremely pleased with how my nails looked and with the longevity of the nails and polish job.
On leaving, we were treated to two nice surprises -- a shockingly low price (again, I don't have much to compare it with, but I paid $51 for my nail job and my maid of honour's French manicure) and first-time-customer treat bags containing lotion, a notepad, pen, candy, and other small items.
I'm not much of a manicure girl, but if I ever have another I'll be visiting The Palms for a mini tropical getaway.
