The Olde Tater Barn is a traditional wedding venue located in Central Bridge, New York. This idyllic estate is nestled amidst rolling fields, farmland and forestry. The authentic and supremely refurbished barn coupled with tranquil and scenic surroundings makes this the ideal destination for a couple’s wedding journey. Originally a potato farm run by the Roy family, since 1994 this unique venue has become synonymous with exquisite cuisine and excellent service.
Facilities and Capacity
Situated in the heart of Schoharie County, The Olde Tater Barn caters for both indoor and outdoor wedding events for between 30-220 guests. With stunning grounds and outdoor social spaces, it is the ideal place for a post-wedding barbecue or pre-wedding party. You can choose to exchange vows on the picturesque grounds with white chairs on the lawn, surrounded by trees and wildflowers. Ceremonies can be held in the original barn, also. This vintage banquet hall comprises lofty ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and elegant maple-wood flooring that dates back to the 1940s. This space is the perfect fusion of rustic charm and old-world refinement. String lights, chandeliers, and voile drapery frame the room, adding a dash of romantic sophistication to a soiree. Couples may wish to host dining and entertainment segments outdoors during fine weather, and this can be arranged. WiFi and parking are provided.
The on-site event planner aids couples in curating everything from outside vendors to reception decor. The in-house catering team will craft delicious menus for your loved ones. Couples can treat their guests to hors d’oeuvres during an outdoor cocktail hour, followed by a buffet or family-style meal. The professional chefs offer consultations and tastings in advance of special occasions. Bartending and beverages can be arranged, and the experienced staff can advise guests on signature drinks, specialty beers and wines, and house options. The dedicated team can provide pristine white chairs, round or banquet tables, and fine white linens. They will oversee the setup, cleanup, and breakdown of your private party.
This farmlands destination is home to the adorably-entitled Tater Tot cottage. This charming three-bedroom bungalow is ideal for parties of up to eight people. It features quaint, country chic decor, bedding, towels, and a kitchen area. Couples can reserve the house for up to six nights for their wedding party.

I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with the Olde Tater Barn. Searching for the perfect wedding venue seems like such a daunting task but once we visited the Olde Tater Barn, we knew it was exactly what we were looking for. Rich and Katie work as a great team to make your wedding day special. Rich was our main point of contact leading up to the wedding and made us feel like people instead of just another paying customer. Katie has found her niche! She accounted for every detail and made sure our wedding day went off without a hitch. Our guests raved about the beauty and rustic charm of the place and the GREAT food! I felt zero stress day of because she sets up everything for you. They even made clean up a breeze. They pick up everything for you and organize all of your things for you to conveniently pick up the following day. There was also a large number of young children attending and the venue was great about accommodating their needs as well. They go above and beyond what your typical venue would and are much more reasonable in price. I highly recommend them to anyone!Sent on 10/13/2019

I can't even explain how pleased my husband and I are with this place! As soon as we visited we knew that it was going to be the place we would have a reception. It's a nice blend of rustic, cozy, and glam all rolled into one. My husband is a country boy and I'm a little on the girly side, so it was absolutely perfect in every way. Rich, the owner, is one of the most chill, accommodating people I've ever met and he was so great to work with. I recommend having your wedding on a Sunday as we did (or a Friday) because it will save you a lot of money. We had guests rave about the reception and go on about how great the location and food are! Thanks so much Olde Tater!Sent on 10/07/2015
