The museum is also open for guests to wander through while learning about the rich history of the venue.

Services Offered

A choice of three caterers will be presented to you so you can make a choice that best suits your food and drink preferences. The dedicated on-site staff will coordinate with your other chosen vendors to ensure that your big day is one to remember. The team at the Old Post Office would be happy for you to reach out so they can learn more about your special day.

History

Constructed in post-Civil War America, this magnificent building, along with four others in fast-growing cities, was ordered to be built to accommodate expanding Federal offices in the Reconstruction era. It also served to instill pride and patriotism in the government of a recently reunited America. The Old Post Office is a rare surviving example of the Second Empire architecture style, which was widely popular during the time period.

This is a beautiful hidden gem in St. Louis. I was looking for something not so regular, everyone seems to do a loft-style banquet place or winery. This beautiful, original building was built in the 1800's meaning you don't have to bring much in to decorate, it's been restored and it's beautiful all on its own. The entire ceiling is a skylight, making lighting pretty easy as well. The general manager of the building is also very responsive and helpful. I am so glad this is where we chose to have our event!

Having our wedding at The Old Post office was one of the best decisions we made. Not only is it beautiful inside, Candace was WONDERFUL to work with. She was so helpful every step of the way, and more than willing to work though every detail with me.

My wedding is not until next year but Eliza is making it so easy to plan this wedding! I will keep you guys updated on how it goes! As time goes on I really appreciate The Old Post Office. I am able to get in contact with Ted Jones, he is the person in charge of my venue now that Eliza is gone, whenever I need! Very flexible. I am so excited for my wedding!

My husband and I held our wedding ceremony at the Old Post Office, on the atrium level. We LOVED this space. We didn't have a church we wanted to be married in, and we wanted to choose an indoor venue. This was PERFECT! It had all the charm of an old, historic building, along with several beautify features to create some awesome wedding photos. While some out of town guests had a challenge finding the venue down town, I believe they would have had trouble finding any place in the metro area. We did have to pay for parking in the garage across the street for our guest (through another company), but it was worth it to us to have an easy parking option for our guests. Eliza was so, so very helpful in planning our day, and in helping with little details the day of our wedding. We couldn't have been more delighted to have such a cool place to get married!

Beautiful venue, parking was a little difficult for guests but everyone loved the venue. I was thrilled that my ceremony and reception was held at the Old Post Office. You have to be ready to rent everything from the dance floor, tables/chairs, clothes, etc.
