Hi! My name is Maria and I am The Officiant. I am a modern, non-traditional, professional wedding officiant and storyteller who believes that your ceremony should be more than a formality - it should be an experience that sets the tone for the start of not only your celebration, but for your adventure in marriage.
For over 12 years I have built connections with hundreds of couples, offering them not only my expertise, but a captivating presence that must be witnessed to be fully understood.
My passion is the foundation of my work: for me, there is no greater feeling than connecting with my couples and reliving their story, culminating in a ceremony experience that is uniquely theirs.

The Best Officiant
This review is long overdue. Maria Pelton is a wonderful and phenomenal officiant. One of the best investments in our wedding was hiring Maria. Having her expertise through the ceremony development process was so great. She gave us unique insight and ideas to make it fun, meaningful, and engaging for our guests. During the ceremony, her pace was perfect and even though we knew the ceremony from developing it together it hit different the day of. We laughed, we cried, and just had a wonderful time. Maria was more than prepared. My now husband struggled to get his beautiful vows written in a tiny notebook lol and she saved the day by coming prepared with our vows printed. Additionally, she guided us through the paperwork process and helped us figure out how to make our marriage legal. From day one Maria was personable and genuinely listened and got to know us. We are so grateful to have had such a special person be part of our wedding day. We highly recommend Maria Pelton and her officiating services. Thank you again for everything!

The Perfect Ceremony Ringleader :)
I can’t say enough good about the ceremony Maria crafted for us. She truly took the time to get to know us both individually & as a couple. She learned what was important to us and truly captured it all in the most meaningful, sweet ceremony! From the first draft, every word she wrote really meant so much! My husband & I were shedding happy tears reading it! It was heartfelt and resonated so much with our journey & our values! I’m glad she worked so hard to show us everything before the ceremony - so that i wasn’t at the alter crying my make up off (LOL)! She was kind & gracious and respectful the whole way through. Our family kept remarking how beautiful the ceremony was and I truly think it was because of all the time and thought she put into it! She even took the time to answer my questions about the name change process - and handled the marriage license for us so that we could quickly begin enjoying our time as newlyweds. She truly is a master of her craft!

Highly recommend, you won't regret it.
If I could give more than five stars, I would. We got married over Labor Day Weekend, and we’re extremely glad Maria officiated our ceremony. As soon as we got off the initial call, we knew we wanted her to officiate our wedding due to her friendliness, warmth and experience. She was open to our ideas at how the flow of the ceremony should go and provided help every step of the way as we wrote our vows.
Our guests raved about the humor she injected throughout the ceremony and appreciated that she got to speak with them prior to the ceremony. Highly recommend her for weddings, you won’t regret it!

A Love Story created by Maria
Maria is the most kind hearted, enthusiastic, and genuine officiant that one could ask for. Through out the process of planning our wedding ceremony Maria was extremely professional, thoughtful and responsive. We had MANY questions and each question was swiftly answered putting our minds at ease in the mist of the crazy wedding planning going on. The ceremony she created for my husband and I really tailored to our specific relationship showing the time and effort spent to create something unique for our love story. After the ceremony had ended so many of our loved ones were raving about how special Maria's ceremony made our day. You will want her to write your love story, she is truly talented in her profession! We can't thank Maria enough!!

Maria is the best!
We couldn't have asked for a better wedding officiant! From the first meeting, Maria made us feel at ease with her warmth and professionalism. Her heartfelt ceremony was personalized and captured our love story beautifully. She seamlessly blended the necessary details with unique touches, making the moment very special. Maria will make your day unforgettable
Maria desired to get to know my husband and I so well, and it felt like Maria had known us all of our lives. She crafted such a beautiful ceremony and really wanted to be able to capture who we are. All of our guests asked how we have a personal close relationship to her from the way she spoke about us and our love during the ceremony. They thought we had known each other forever! To this day, Maria’s ceremony and words are one of the things that is remembered most fondly from us and most of our guests that people bring up and name as their favorite part of the whole wedding. She is the sweetest person, and is very passionate at what she does. She is extremely organized, very responsive, and flexible as she wanted to ensure our ceremony was absolutely perfect in our eyes. She handles everything down to your marriage license so you don’t have to stress about it on your wedding day. She is very well spoken and has the most calming voice (more feedback directly from our guests!) We HIGHLY recommend having Maria make your big day so memorable and perfect.

The very best!!!!
Maria Pelton is an amazing officiant. She did a wonderful job at setting the tone for the ceremony. Her calm and welcoming demeanor immediately sold us while we were interviewing officiants and she was such an amazing help during the process. I would recommend her for any wedding!!!
