The Millstad Center is a charming wedding venue in Joppa, Maryland. This landmark building dates back to the late 1600s and serves as a gathering place for a wide variety of occasions. The venue's original foundation is still evident in the estate's entrance and spring house. In the property, there is also a ballroom called The Great Hall that features thick stone walls, a trussed roof, and a cast-iron sounding bell. Couples may choose this venue to host their special day for a truly remarkable backdrop.

Facilities and Capacity

The Millstad Center offers space for outdoor as well as indoor events. Outside, a 35x40 paver patio space makes a wonderful option for a ceremony or cocktail hour. Inside, the banquet hall is a 2,4000 square feet space with wagon wheel chandeliers to add to the rustic look. This versatile space can be easily transformed with wedding decor, creating a romantic and beautiful backdrop for wedding celebrations. Additionally, it can accommodate up to 160 guests in a seated dinner reception. This allows the space to accommodate a dance floor, entertainment and vendors.

Services offered

The Millstad Center is more than happy to welcome outside vendors to the venue to help couples realize their vision. They provide a commercial kitchen for caterers to use that includes a walk-in freezer/ refrigerator, two stove ranges, and a preparation area.
