About this venue
The Makoy is a full service wedding venue located in Hillard, Ohio. For over 35 years, this family-owned business has collaborated with engaged couples to design weddings that embody all of the wonderful emotions that come with saying “I do”.
Couples can host grand receptions of up to 300 guests at this magnificent venue with an outdoor ceremony garden option, in house food and beverage options, and ample free parking. Outside catering is not permitted at this venue.
Facilities and Capacity
With three different room sizes covering 30,000 square feet of ballrooms, host a celebration of any size and style. The Emerald Room elegance starts with modern vaulted ceilings, wood dance floor, and custom event lighting. Built with a French art deco design, the Burgundy Room is perfect for your energetic reception. Equipped with a large dance floor and event lights, a stage for your wedding party, and built in bar it’s the perfect area to dance the night away. Our Mezzanine room is quaint and designed for more intimate events, also with a built in dance floor and event lighting.

The Makoy is located in Hillard, Ohio, only 20 minutes northwest from Columbus and just south of Dublin. We are only a short distance from I-270 with ample free parking.

Light, airy and yet this venue can be customized to fit any size wedding. Loved playing the harp there because of the fun everyone had!
As a DJ service that rotates from venue to venue on a weekly basis, its always refreshing to perform at the Makoy Center. The staff is always prepared, friendly and professional and our entire DJ staff always has good experiences there. The Makoy Center is one of the best places in Central Ohio for a wedding reception or private party.
