Beautiful Venue, Run by Poor Management

I recently held my wedding at The Loft at Roosevelt Row, drawn by its undeniable beauty and charm. While the venue itself is stunning, our experience was significantly impacted by management shortcomings.

From the beginning, communication with Leslie, the coordinator, was challenging. Responses to inquiries took weeks or even months, adding unnecessary stress to the planning process. On the wedding day, several promised arrangements were not completed:

– Incomplete Decorations: Leslie assured us that she would attach our decorations to the stairwell railing. However, this was not done, and our guests ended up completing the setup as they arrived.
– Unprepared Spaces: The welcome area and ceremony space were cluttered with boxes and unprepared, even as guests began to arrive.
– Lack of Direction: Guests were not properly directed upon arrival, leading many to wander into private areas where we were taking photos.
– Missing Essentials: During the cocktail hour, guests were not provided with napkins, plates, or utensils until we brought it to Leslie's attention.
– Security Concerns: Despite advertising security services, there appeared to be none. Leslie spent a significant portion of the event sitting on the stairs to "watch the door."

Our personal items were left unsecured, and we were not informed about storage limitations beforehand. Despite these issues, our day was saved by our incredible bridal party and guests who stepped up when needed. I am only giving two stars for the venue itself and because my wedding day went well, but otherwise I would only give 1, and that's still being generous.

I hope The Loft at Roosevelt Row addresses these concerns to ensure future events run smoothly. The venue has immense potential, but significant improvements in management are necessary.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
