The Ivey House is a historic wedding venue located in Seymour, Tennessee. Originally built in 1886, the pristine white farmhouse was foreclosed during the Great Depression before it was purchased by the Riggs family. Their daughter, Lovana, married Charles Ivey in the front parlor in 1948 and lived there until 2018. Now owned by husband-and-wife team Dustin and Colleen, the house is a charming and secluded spot set on lush green lawns. Situated just thirty miles from Knoxville and Gatlinburg, the estate combines the best of rural tranquility with the ease of urban proximity. Featuring a natural spring, corn crib, the unparalleled views of the Great Smoky Mountains, this venue is an idyllic setting for all celebrations of love.
Facilities and Capacity
The Ivey House offers a number of indoor and outdoor locations to hold ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions. For smaller eventd, the house can accommodate up to 40 guests. For grander affairs, the grounds feature numerous places to exchange vows, including a ceremony area with a forest backdrop. The pièce de résistance of the property is the 40x60-foot wooden pavilion, which boasts covered concrete floors, exposed beams, draping fabrics, and string lights. This atmospheric pavilion can host 150 for both ceremonies and receptions, can be fully enclosed or open-air, and supplies breathtaking views of the mountains. Back inside, two luxurious get-ready suites are available for couples to prepare for the festivities with their wedding parties. Tastefully appointed with vintage furniture and antique vanities, these suites are the epitome of Southern charm and comfort.
Services Offered
For those interested in renting The Ivey House, a wedding coordinator and three event packages are available. The weekend package gives couples exclusive access to the property from Friday to Saturday and includes overnight accommodations in the house on Friday night. The most popular Daily option comes with up to 12 hours of event time plus one hour of rehearsal the week leading up to the wedding. Tables and chairs, retro décor and furniture, a wooden arbor, and use of the fully-equipped kitchen are available with all bookings. The venue also provides a list of trusted local vendors that offer everything from floral arrangements to catering to entertainment services.
