We worked with Sarah at goose cakes for our NYE wedding cake and desserts at The Round Barn in Waitsfield, VT.

Not only did the cake and cookies taste delicious, but the design was flawless—she matched the cake to our decor perfectly. Sarah was absolutely fantastic to work with and our cake was stunning. I work in wedding catering, so I’ve seen and tried many wedding cakes and ours was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. The other desserts, especially the peanut butter s’mores cookies were also a huge hit. I cannot recommend Sarah enough!

Sarah was so amazing to work with! We reserved Goose Chase for our wedding at Trailside Inn in Killington, VT in August 2025. Sarah’s selection of flavors are so good you literally cannot go wrong with anything you choose. We did a cake tasting a few months before and left so happy because everything was so good. We did a small 2 tiered cake with other dessert bar options. Our guests raved about the cheesecake squares and flavors of our wedding cake/cupcakes. We actually intentionally over ordered hoping to have left overs, but they were so good our guests consumed all of the extras before the end of the night! She nailed our birch tree design for our outdoor VT wedding theme. Sarah was great to work with, so kind, quick to communicate, and coordinated with our venue so I did not have to do any extra planning for the big day. Book her!

Sarah made our cake and desserts for our wedding and they were SO GOOD! We had a small cake for cutting, then a dessert table with cheesecake squares, fruit tarts, cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies, and macarons. Every bite was delicious. She brought the desserts to our venue and set them up for us. We did a tasting with her ahead of time too which was fun and got us very excited for the desserts at our wedding. She was very communicative and easy to work with. 10/10, would recommend!

Our wedding was in June 2023. We loved working with Sarah, she made sure our order was perfect from the start, answering all of our questions, to the finish when she delivered our items to a mountain top giving proper attention to every detail along the way. I’ll continue to use The Goose Chase Cake Design for any Vermont baking needs, and you should too!

Sarah did the most awesome job on our wedding cake and macrons. All the desserts were delicious, beautiful, and well done. We specifically wanted a "purple tree" cake, and she really delivered! We got so many compliments on it and the cake flavor was so good (lemon poppyseed with lemon and blueberry filling!). She also went out of her way to make some unique macron flavors for us (maple, strawberry, chocolate, and funfetti!) and all of them were a huge hit. The venue saved the top of the cake for us and we ate half of it over a couple days of our honeymoon and it was awesome. We also had a wonderful tasting with her where she gave us three sample cakes that we even got to take home and walked us through everything she could do - it was so fun. She was kind and incredibly responsive throughout wedding planning! I super highly recommend Sarah to make any of our special event treats!

We loved working with Sarah throughout our wedding planning experience. We enjoyed the cake tasting event and talking through all of our plans with her. While she didn’t have exactly the cake we were looking for on her “menu”, she helped us to brainstorm what she could do to make it, and it ended up working out better than we could have ever imagined. She was extremely communicative throughout the whole process, and the cakes/tarts/cupcakes were so incredibly delicious - people were raving about them all night. Sarah’s cake flavors are vibrant and the cake itself moist and delicious. The decorating was beautiful and exactly what we had hoped for at our wedding!! She’s also a joy to work with!! And beyond cakes, she has a wide array of glorious offerings - luscious creme puffs, adorably whimsical meringue mushrooms, and velvety, angelic macarons (strawberry basil were heavenly). Be sure and order more than you think you need because you and your guests will not be able to resist trying them all … at least twice!!

We would absolutely recommend Sarah and The Goose Chase Cake Design for any wedding or special event! The whole process of working with her went incredibly smoothly, with good communication and willingness to adapt and try new things to meet our requests. She is just a lovely person. The final result was an absolutely stunning dessert display, that not only looked fabulous but tasted incredible. We had a 3-tier cake in 2 different flavors and 4 different mini-desserts. Our only regret is that our guests gobbled them up so quickly we didn't get to try them all! They told us they were delicious. So, order more than you think - you will need them. ;)

I gave Sarah a few inspiration photos and showed her all my mood boards and told her to run. While that might be fun it can also be stressful to try and create something with little direction. But I wanted something different that you don’t see on pinterest already so that’s why I gave her free range. She did a beautiful job and the funfetti flavor was a hit!!
