About
Located in Montclair, New Jersey, The George Inn is a stunning hotel venue with notable names behind its brilliance. Husband and wife duo Steven Plofker and Bobbi Brown were inspired to transform this building into something magnificent. Design-forward and architecturally remastered, this inn proudly stands as a curated masterpiece in the heart of Montclair.
Facilities and Capacity
The George Inn has been imbued with contemporary amenities and aesthetics while paying homage to historic underpinnings. Originally, the structure was built by Charles Van Vleck in 1902. In the 1940s it was converted into a residential hotel, aimed at clients seeking short-term stays. This occurred in tandem with the French Institute Alliance Francaise's move to the Queen Anne carriage house, which flanks the hotel. In the year 2008, the inn was granted landmark status and in 2012 it was purchased for use and renovation. Bobbi Brown acted as the creative director of this venue's overall vision. Revitalized and brought up to a refined, elegant standard, The George Inn now features chic and tasteful designs. The decor was hand-picked by Bobbi, including products from some of her most favored brands.
Services Offered
The George Inn boasts 31 expertly designed rooms that speak to a sophisticated clientele. Each individual room has been curated in a distinct style, meaning that every stay at the hotel is a unique one. Offering luxury at all levels, The George Inn has a host of complimentary amenities. Those who have dogs needn't worry about their fuzzy friends being excluded. This hotel is canine-friendly and welcomes household pets into its exclusive premises. Dog beds are provided so that everyone is as comfortable as possible during their stay. Other perks, like breakfast services, an on-site gym, and complimentary WiFi, are also provided at The George Inn.
Location
The George Inn is approximately 12 miles west of New York City. It sits comfortably within Montclair’s downtown area and exudes the essence of wanderlust and adventure. Truly one-of-a-kind, The George Inn is a worthy getaway.
