Nestled on 30 private acres of green farm fields and hardwood forest, Cushing Field House can comfortably accommodate up to 200 guests indoors. While guests arrive, the to-be-weds can relax and prepare in the two beautifully decorated get-ready-suites. Cushing Field house offers a beautiful front foyer with two individual private bathrooms, two elegant chandeliers, and antique Anthropologie furniture. From the foyer, guests flow into the main venue space, a spacious area with an open floor plan. With reclaimed barn wood walls and eight custom-made chandeliers with Edison bulbs, Cushing Field House is full of rustic elegance and charm. Guests love the option of sitting and relaxing in the cozy sitting area with leather furniture and a real wood-burning fireplace, a high-quality television, and outstanding views of the venue's sprawling fields.

History
Cushing Field House was established when one of Peter and Cushie Switzer's daughters became engaged to be married. She dreamed of hosting her celebration near the Michigan home where she grew up. Peter and Cushie, owners of a luxury construction, landscaping, and home building business, drew upon their creative, design, and building talents to transform their farm storage building into the charming and elegant destination it is known as today.

Fairytale wedding

The venue is exactly what I was looking for. Driving up the long driveway you are taken back by how beautiful the grounds are and then you walk inside and are blown away. I was lucky to be one of the brides to get to use the new bridal suite. Every detail has been thought of. The owners are there to help with all your needs and help to make your day exactly how you dreamed it would be. I would highly recommend this venue.

A stunning venue with incredible facilities and even better views!

Having our wedding at Cushing Field House was a dream come true. From the beginning, Peter and Cushie were so helpful, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our planning experience go smoothly. They had a wonderful list of preferred vendors that we had excellent experiences using. They were also extremely attentive to answering any questions we had throughout the process and also went above and beyond to make our wedding personal to us. We could not be more pleased with the overall wedding day. The venue itself is stunning, surrounded by nature and beautiful views and the facilities are top notch - very clean, tasteful, and well taken care of. If you are on the fence about choosing this venue, I highly encourage you to choose them, you won't regret it!

Cushing Field House is the perfect venue. My fiance and I were on the lookout for a venue that was a unique blend of our two backgrounds. We couldn't have found a more perfect location. From the stunning landscaping, beautiful venue, and incredible amenities we couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot for our perfect day.

Peter and Cushie were incredible to work with. They were accommodating, helpful, understanding, and so kind. I can't express my gratitude enough for their help making our day perfect. I am so grateful.

We can't recommend Cushing Field House enough. Our guests were blown away and so were we!

The most beautiful venue in Metro Detroit!!

Cushing Field House is easily one of the most beautiful locations in Metro Detroit, as the owner's incredible landscaping background is exquisitely showcased at their venue. Beyond the beautiful setting, working w/ Cushie & Peter made my job as the florist extremely easy, and helped installation remain organized the entire wedding day. Not only did they impress me with their work ethic, but they were both an absolute joy to work with. Cushie & Peter provided top-notch professionalism and an extremely positive and fun attitude. I can’t recommend working with them enough! If you are in Detroit, & looking for the most beautiful natural environment for your wedding, look no further than Cushing Field House!

Breathtaking Venue with Amazing Hosts!

This space is stunning! Peter and Cushie are wonderful to work with and their attention to detail and constant improvements of their amazing venue space are unmatched. Navigating covid restrictions has been exhausting and heartbreaking, Peter and Cushie were amazing to work with and made the process as stress free as possible, Offering concessions no other vendors will. If you're considering the Field House , it's a no brainer in my book.

A perfect blend of rustic charm and up-to-date details

Our son’s wedding was held at Cushing Field House in the summer of 2017. (And we were guests at a second wedding here in the fall of 2018.) We were so pleased with the entire experience each time! What made our happy occasion a memorable one began with the beautiful rural setting and Field House, paired with a manicured lawn and landscaping. From the roadway, we and our guests passed through a handsome iron gate and drove down a winding driveway through a wooded area lined with flowers and excellent landscaping.
Guests were dropped off at the entrance to the venue, and plenty of parking space was available (an attentive valet staff made parking a breeze!).
The Field House was warm and inviting with its reclaimed barn wood, custom circular wooden light fixtures, and rustic, yet sophisticated details. The wedding party enjoyed convenient on-site private dressing areas, and all enjoyed the clean & modern bathrooms and kitchen areas. There was outdoor lighting and seating as well.
Everywhere we turned, we experienced such care infused into each detail. Peter and Cushie have created a perfect blend of rustic charm, one-of-a-kind details, and clean, up-to-date facilities.
On top of all that, the nearby small towns offer great shopping, restaurants, and parks.

Our dream put into a reality with ease!

My husband and I are still speechless when we recall our big day at Cushing Field House. Peter and Cushie left no details out in making sure we felt comfortable and ready for us to say, "I do". From the gorgeous bridal and groomsmen suites, to the custom escort card wall created for us, to a grand sendoff, we were treated like royalty and family all at once.

Cushing Field House captured the day beautifully by giving us the rustic elegance we were seeking. The repurposed farm wood, the landscaping, and the other amenities available for use left us in awe.

We are so excited to see pictures of other couples design their perfect day at the Cushing Field House in the future!

The Field House is nothing short of breathtaking. Peter and Cushie have spared no expense in creating a warm, relaxing, and inviting environment for their venue. No detail is missed. They go above and beyond what is expected to ensure that your experience is above 5 stars. Their venue is absolutely gorgeous and helps create the "backyard wedding" vibe without having to host a wedding reception in your backyard. Hospitality is definitely a huge priority, and radiates in every detail of their wonderful venue I will be recommending their venue to every bride I know, and cannot wait to visit again! Thank you Peter and Cushie for a wonderful venue!
