Beautiful Venue with exceptional staff

We held our son’s wedding here and we couldn’t have been more pleased. From the very first time we walked in we knew this was the one. The grounds are absolutely stunning. The venue itself is beautiful, they have a large area for the groom and groomsmen to get ready in with a pool table. The girls loved the bridal suit, it was pretty amazing. The owners made sure we had everything we needed. Our son and now daughter in law paid for a planning and decor package and let me tell you, it was worth every penny. Jane and her staff made sure we were able to enjoy the day. We paid for the Platinum bar package and the bar was amazing, our guests were very complimentary all night about the service and quality of drinks. We couldn’t be happier with choosing the English Barn and would highly recommend if you want a beautiful stress free wedding, have your wedding here.

Amazing venue

Jane and her team are absolutely outstanding to work with and they without a doubt have THE most magical venue to host an event. I would highly recommend The English Barn for your wedding, it's simply spectacular!

Amazing venue!

We are the parents of the bride who recently had her wedding and reception at The English Barn. Jane bent over backwards to accommodate us. She had wonderful suggestions from the start to the finish. We had a fantastic experience. Many of our guests raved about The English Barn. Some of their comments included, "wow", "lovely", "beautiful", and a "true treasure". We highly recommend The English Barn to any engaged couple. We know they, their families, and guests will not be disappointed. Thank you Jane for an amazing fairy tale experience.

Best.Day.Ever

From the moment my husband proposed to me, I knew this place is where I was meant to get married! We saw it for the first time and it was not completed but we knew the potential it had. Other venues saw us as another paycheck, Jane saw us as a bride and groom who wanted the most perfect day. I was so excited to every meeting we had because I knew something had been finished and we got to see every detail being put together. Now onto Jane. The greatest human ever. She was the reason we chose this venue because we saw her love and passion for weddings and we knew we wanted her touch. Nothing beats 9pm calls because she was so excited she found the perfect flowers for our centerpieces. She was up at 5am and didn’t stop moving till ceremony at 5pm. She set up and did everything! Her amazing details just made the day that much better. Our party bus cancelled morning of and we had no fear because Jane fixed it right away! (Showtime transportation is perfection!) Our DJ didn’t play our last song/didn’t dismiss everyone for the glow stick exit and I was just going to let that go but Jane stepped in and made sure I had the exit that I had always dreamed about! She made the day about my husband and I and that’s all we could’ve ever hoped for! Our wedding was 2 months ago and I’m still reliving that day!

Beautiful wedding venue

Our daughter, Kelsey Robbins married the man of her dreams on September 11th, 2021 - it was fabulous - Jane and her husband, Paul were so sweet and worked so hard to make her big day perfect and it was! We had approximately 160ish guests - we have received many calls, texts, and emails to our entire family about how fabulous the venue was! They all raved about how beautiful the English Barn is - everything went off beautifully! Of all the wedding venues in the Kansas City Area - I would rate the English Barn #1!

Amazing venue and beautiful ceremony

My daughter got married at The English Barn on July 17, 2021. Our process started in October of 2020 when we booked the wedding. From start to final our experience could not have been more perfect!! I don't have 1 teeny tiny thing to even complain about. The venue is A DREAM!! You think it's gorgeous in pics...it's a million times more amazing in person! The staff/bartenders was unbelievable - Jane was our go-to and I don't know if she could've been any more amazing! The bridals, she couldn't be more helpful. The day of the wedding - oh my goodness, from being everywhere at once it felt like, to help getting things out of the car and putting it all where it needed to be, to fixing the girls dresses...I've helped with weddings before and the venue person is usually sitting in the office the whole day IF you need her come and get her - not here - she was THE BEST!! The grounds are amazing, just for real MAGICAL! I'm beyond grateful that this venue was built so our baby girl could have her dream wedding!! I seriously could go on and on... Recommended to our neighbor who is also getting married here in 2022. Can't wait!

Great Experience - Fabulous Day

The day, the venue, the entire experience was wonderful and beautiful as the bride and groom. I can't think of a detail that has been forgotten or left out at this venue. The staff paid attention and catered to every need. It was great to watch as everyone from the DJ, to the bartenders and the owners of the facility served the bride and groom to make sure they were always well cared for and their needs met. Highly recommend The English Barn as a great place to create wonderful memories.

The best day ever.

I had the honor of officiating a wedding for a couple earlier this Spring. What an extremely sweet couple and great love story that spans two continents. The day and the event was beautiful and complimented by the new and wonderful venue- The English Barn. No details were left unaddressed in making this day a memorable experiance for the bride and groom. From the manicured grounds to the hand carved timber building and the castle like bridal suite, I would recommend The English Barn to anyone. In additon to the facility, the owners are on-site to ensure the goes smoothly and all needs are attended to with special care given to the bride and groom.

One of the BEST Venues in KC

I am a wedding photographer, and The English Barn made it onto my top three venues in KC.... maybe even the top! The owners are so helpful, and want to make sure everyone has a wedding of their dreams there! I hope to have many, many more chances to photograph weddings that brides and grooms only dream about, at the English Barn.

Reply to a untrue review

I would just like to follow up with the review by Debbie W. I was the bartender at their wedding. The contract for their drinks started at 6:00pm and ended at 11:00. Unless you want to pay for a all day drinking package we won’t be serving you all day. With it being a open bar and the laws we have to abide by, you are only allowed a certain amount of liquor per drink. THAT IS THE LAW. We have police officers on site because we want everyone to be safe. There are signs saying no smoking and designated smoking areas. Jane loves taking pictures of everyone having a great time. This was not due to capturing over consumption. And finally, the bar closed at 11:00. Legally we have to do last call 15 min prior to bar closing. Which the DJ called out and multiple people came up to get a final drink. Really goes to show how people’s perception of things change with alcohol. I have worked with Paul and Jane for awhile now and they are truly amazing people. They will go over and beyond for your special day. I hate that these reviews are only one sided. They don’t deserve this awful review because it’s simple not true. If you want a worry free day, and if there is one person you can rely on, it’s the owners Jane and Paul Howe. They are incredible people and love what they do. I will also leave my name and email so they know this review is true.
